2027 Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II
By Lorenzo Bianchi June 2, 2026
Range increases to as much as 390 miles on the WLTP cycle.
Black Badge Spectre Series II becomes the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever built.
New materials, finishes, and craftsmanship options expand Bespoke possibilities.
The original shape stays exactly where it should
Some facelifts try too hard.
The 2027 Rolls-Royce Spectre Series II takes the opposite approach. Park it beside the outgoing model and most people would struggle to spot the differences immediately. That's probably a compliment.
The long fastback roofline remains untouched. So do the slim split headlamps and the clean body surfaces that helped make the original Spectre stand out when it arrived in 2022. Rolls-Royce clearly believes it got the proportions right the first time. Looking at the official images, it's hard to argue otherwise.
There are fresh details if you know where to look. A new Ethereal Blue finish joins the palette, while redesigned 23-inch forged wheels introduce a sharper, more faceted appearance. Rolls-Royce says each wheel requires up to six hours of hand-finishing. That sounds excessive until you remember what sort of car this is.
The biggest changes are hidden from view
Most Spectre owners probably weren't asking for more range.
Rolls-Royce gave it to them anyway.
Updated battery technology extends the coupe's maximum WLTP range to 390 miles, an improvement of 18 percent. Charging times have also been reduced by 14 percent, making longer journeys slightly less dependent on planning ahead.
What's interesting is how quietly these upgrades are presented. Many manufacturers would lead with performance claims and charging figures. Rolls-Royce treats them almost as supporting details.
That philosophy feels consistent with the Spectre itself. The engineering exists to remove effort rather than advertise itself.
Black Badge gets even darker
The more dramatic story belongs to the Black Badge.
Already one of the most imposing electric luxury cars on the road, the updated version now claims the title of most powerful Rolls-Royce ever produced. Infinity Mode unlocks 500 kW, while Spirited Mode delivers up to 1,100 Nm of torque.
The visual changes suit the numbers.
A new Iced Black treatment replaces much of the traditional brightwork with a satin-like finish. Door handles, grille surround, side trim, and even the Spirit of Ecstasy receive the darker treatment. Interestingly, Rolls-Royce left the grille vanes polished, preserving a small piece of visual contrast.
Where clients are spending their attention
The specification sheet only tells part of the story.
According to Rolls-Royce, Spectre has become one of the company's most popular canvases for Bespoke commissions, second only to Phantom. Some owners have reportedly requested more than twenty individual Bespoke elements in a single car.
Series II responds directly to that demand.
New Duality Twill fabric, made from bamboo-derived rayon, can require up to 2.6 million stitches and around ten miles of thread. A new illuminated fascia incorporates more than 8,000 individual light points. Even the clock has been redesigned, taking inspiration from traditional aviation instruments.
None of those details will improve acceleration or range.
They will, however, matter to the clients commissioning these cars. And that may explain Spectre better than any performance figure ever could.
