The 2027 Renault Rafale Hypnotic adds a darker visual treatment and extra standard equipment to Renault's flagship coupe-style SUV. Only 1,500 numbered examples are planned for Europe, with the limited edition based on the Rafale hyper hybrid E-Tech 4x4 300 hp Atelier Alpine.
Renault will open European orders on October 1, 2026, covering 14 countries. French pricing starts at €63,550, with the first deliveries expected in late 2026.
Forest Black Gives The Rafale A Darker Look
The biggest visual change is the exclusive satin-finish Forest Black bodywork. Renault pairs it with a black grille, gloss black roof trim and a matching gloss black boot spoiler. The Atelier Alpine badge is black too, keeping bright exterior detailing to a minimum.
The press photography on page one shows how those changes work with the Rafale's existing fastback-like roofline and high rear shoulders. The Hypnotic also receives 21-inch satin-finish alloy wheels, adding another dark finish along the flanks.
Alcantara And Tricolor Stitching Change The Cabin
Inside, titanium black Alcantara is mixed with black textured coated fabric. Blue, white and red top-stitching appears on the upholstery and door panels, while the seats carry a backlit Alpine “A” logo. Each vehicle also gets an individually numbered plate.
Standard equipment includes the Solarbay opacifying glass roof, heated windscreen, head-up display and Harman Kardon premium audio system. The equipment table also confirms heated front seats and a hands-free powered tailgate.
Three Electric Motors Support 300 HP
Mechanically, the Hypnotic carries over the plug-in hybrid system from the Rafale Atelier Alpine. An internal-combustion engine works with three electric motors to produce 300 hp, while Renault quotes up to 105 km of driving in electric mode.
The chassis specification is equally important. Four-wheel drive is combined with 4Control Advanced four-wheel steering and self-adjusting suspension that uses a camera for predictive control. The setup was developed by Alpine Cars engineers.
Positioned above the €60,250 Atelier Alpine in France, the €63,550 Hypnotic becomes the most expensive Rafale listed in Renault's current pricing table. Its distinction comes mainly from the numbered production run, specific materials, black exterior treatment and expanded standard equipment rather than a separate higher-output powertrain.
