2027 RAM Chassis Cab Night Edition

The Night Edition adds black wheels and badging, a Sport Performance hood and body color exterior components.
It is available for Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab models in Regular Cab and Crew Cab configurations.
Pricing starts at $1,695 on Laramie models, with orders scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The 2027 Ram Chassis Cab Night Edition takes a familiar appearance package from Ram's retail pickups and applies it to the commercial side of the range. Offered on Big Horn and Laramie trims, the package is aimed at buyers who want the working hardware of a Chassis Cab without the usual bright exterior detailing.
Its public debut is scheduled for the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.
Black Trim Changes the Chassis Cab Look
The changes are concentrated around the cab rather than altering the truck's underlying proportions. Chrome and brightwork give way to darker components, with black painted wheels and badging providing the most obvious visual distinction.
Big Horn Night models add gloss black grille nostrils and a sport hood, while the grille surround, front bumper, fender flares and door handles are finished in body color. Front and rear parking sensors are included as well.
Laramie already receives those body color components and parking sensors as standard. Its Night package adds black wheels and badging, gloss black grille billets and nostrils, plus the sport hood.
Regular Cab and Crew Cab Bodies Remain Work Focused
The Night Edition is available across the Ram 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab range, covering both Regular Cab and Crew Cab configurations. The commercial foundations are unchanged.
Ram offers four cab to rear axle frame lengths: 60, 84, 108 and 120 inches. The frame rails use industry standard 34 inch spacing, while the rear C channel has a flat mounting surface with no components protruding above the rails. Pre drilled mounting and routing holes are also provided for upfits.
HEMI V8 and Cummins Diesel Continue
Two engines are listed. The 6.4 liter HEMI V8 produces 375 horsepower and 429 lb ft of torque. Buyers needing more low speed pulling force can choose the 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel inline six, rated at 360 horsepower and 800 lb ft.
Both engines use a TorqueFlite HD eight speed automatic transmission with an electronic column shifter.
Capability varies considerably by configuration. At the upper end, the Ram 5500 Cummins is rated to tow as much as 34,540 pounds, while the HEMI powered 5500 offers maximum payload of 12,370 pounds.
Commercial Hardware Gets More Driver Assistance
Available technology includes adaptive cruise control, Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking, including AEB with trailer brakes. A 270 degree camera system offers trailer reverse guidance, while a separate cargo view camera can monitor an installed upfit or payload.
The Night Edition costs $2,195 on Big Horn models equipped with the Level 1 or Level 2 Equipment Group and $1,695 on Laramie. Orders open in the fourth quarter of 2026, with availability later that year.
