2027 Lexus IS Special Appearance Package
By Lorenzo Bianchi August 31, 2026
The 2027 Lexus IS Special Appearance Package is built off the IS 350 F SPORT and adds a new Envious green paint finish with 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels.
Only 350 examples will be built for the North American market, arriving at dealerships later this year.
Every 2027 IS, including this package, uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 producing 311 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft of torque.
Lexus wrapped up its IS 25th Legacy Tour in Miami on August 29 with the reveal of the 2027 Lexus IS Special Appearance Package, the latest in a run of yearly special editions the brand has produced for the sedan since 2022. It's a limited, visually distinct take on the IS 350 F SPORT rather than a mechanical overhaul, and Lexus is capping production at just 350 units for North America.
Exterior design observations
The headline change is paint: a new green finish called Envious that gives the car a darker, more subdued presence than the IS's usual palette. Lexus pairs it with 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels, visible in press photos alongside red-finished brake calipers peeking through the spokes. The F SPORT front end carries over — a mesh-pattern spindle grille, slim LED headlamps and an aggressive lower bumper with functional-looking vents — but the darker wheels and body color give the whole package a more monochrome look than the standard car.
Interior space and technology
Inside, the package brings black NuLuxe-trimmed seats with Ultrasuede inserts and F SPORT perforated detailing, set off by green stitching that echoes the exterior paint. Satin chrome-finished trim runs through the cabin. Standard technology includes a Panoramic View Monitor, Intuitive Parking Assist, a moonroof, a power rear sunshade and Mark Levinson audio. A Technology Package adds Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist and Front Cross-Traffic Alert, while access is handled through a Smart Access Key Card rather than a traditional key fob.
Powertrain or performance details
Every 2027 IS, including this special-appearance model, uses the same naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6, producing 311 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft of torque. Buyers can choose rear-wheel drive with a standard eight-speed automatic, or all-wheel drive paired with a six-speed automatic. The Special Appearance Package adds a Handling Package on top of that, bringing a sport-tuned Adaptive Variable Suspension, five-mode Drive Mode Select — ECO, Normal, Sport S, Sport S+ and Custom — and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential, though the differential is limited to rear-wheel-drive cars only.
Practical usability features
Beyond the performance hardware, the package leans on comfort and convenience items already common across the IS range: the moonroof, power rear sunshade and parking-assist tech all point toward everyday usability rather than pure track focus.
Market positioning
With production limited to 350 units for North America, Lexus is positioning this as a collector-oriented variant rather than a volume model, capping off a tour built around the IS's 25-year history.
