London Design as the Starting Point
Range Rover has introduced the Range Rover Velar Belgravia Edition as part of a broader series of London-themed models, each drawing inspiration from a specific neighbourhood within the capital.
Revealed in January, the Belgravia Edition arrives alongside the Evoque Hoxton Edition, marking the first phase of a four-model programme that will expand later in 2026.
The Belgravia Edition is positioned as a design-led interpretation rather than a technical departure. Its purpose is to translate the tone of its namesake district—formal, architectural, and quietly assured—into the Velar’s established design language.
Exterior Finish and Proportions
The Velar’s clean, reductive form remains unchanged, but the Belgravia Edition applies a more formal visual treatment. The exterior is defined by 20-inch Diamond Turned Dark Agate wheels finished with a Satin Black tinted lacquer, giving the car a darker, more grounded presence.
Edition-specific ‘Belgravia Edition’ signatures appear across the lower door sills and are echoed through bespoke puddle lights. These details are deliberately subtle, reinforcing the idea that this edition is intended to be recognised up close rather than from a distance. The Velar’s long wheelbase, smooth surfaces, and low roofline continue to do most of the visual work.
Interior Craft and Material Detail
Inside, the Belgravia Edition focuses on finish rather than reconfiguration. Precision contrast stitching is used to trim the supple leather seats, giving the cabin depth without changing its serene, horizontal design. A black brushed aluminium finisher carries bespoke Belgravia detailing, reinforcing the sense of a tailored interior rather than a decorative one.
The approach mirrors the character of the district itself. Nothing is overstated. Each change feels intentional, designed to reward familiarity rather than demand attention on first glance.
The Belgravia Edition Satin Variant
Range Rover has also confirmed a more exclusive Belgravia Edition Satin, limited to just 400 units globally.
This version introduces a Clear Satin Protective Film, marking the first time such a finish has been offered on a Velar model.
The Satin edition further distinguishes itself with 22-inch Dark Agate Grey Diamond Turned wheels with Satin Black contrast and a Black Exterior Styling Pack. Each vehicle is individually marked ‘1 of 400’, underlining its limited-run status. Availability varies by market, and wheel sizing differs on PHEV variants.
Positioning Within the Range Rover Lineup
Within the Range Rover family, the Velar Belgravia Edition sits between the more expressive Hoxton Edition and the forthcoming Battersea and Westminster models. It occupies the most restrained corner of the collection, appealing to buyers who value material quality and design coherence over visual drama.
In a segment increasingly shaped by technology-led differentiation and electrified narratives, this edition takes a quieter path. It reinforces the Velar’s role as a design object first, a luxury SUV second.
