2027 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door Final Edition

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Final Edition is the last current-generation two door Wrangler planned for the Japanese market, with sales starting September 10, 2026.

  • Rubicon hardware includes the Rock Trac full time 4x4 system and an electronically disconnecting front sway bar.

  • Production is limited to 140 units, priced at ¥8,990,000 including tax, with Bright White and Anvil exterior colors.

The 2027 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 Door Final Edition closes a chapter for Jeep in Japan. Stellantis Japan says this limited model will be the final version of the current Wrangler two door introduced to the Japanese market, with only 140 vehicles available.

There is a model-year caveat. The supplied Japanese release is dated September 10, 2026 and does not explicitly describe the vehicle as a 2027 model year.

Body Color Details Change the Rubicon Look

The Final Edition receives the Rubicon Appearance Package, bringing body color overfenders and a matching hardtop. It gives the short Wrangler a more unified exterior treatment without removing the familiar Rubicon hardware and upright proportions.

The press image on page one shows a Bright White example with the traditional seven-slot grille, exposed bumper treatment, prominent wheel arches and compact two door cabin. RUBICON lettering remains clearly visible along the bonnet.

Two colors are offered. Bright White accounts for 50 examples, while the darker Anvil finish is allocated to the remaining 90.

Short Wheelbase Remains Central to the Design

Jeep specifically highlights the compact dimensions of the two door body. Its shorter wheelbase contributes to high body rigidity and improved capability over difficult terrain such as rocky sections, while the smaller footprint also makes the Wrangler easier to handle in urban environments.

The company also links these proportions to the Willys MB, giving the two door a particularly direct visual connection to Jeep's historical models.

Exact exterior dimensions, wheel size and tire specifications are not stated in this release.

Rock Trac Hardware Targets Difficult Terrain

Underneath, the Final Edition retains the Rubicon's serious off-road equipment. The Rock Trac full time 4x4 system includes a 4:1 low-range ratio and allows the front and rear differentials to be locked, distributing power equally across all four wheels.

An electronically controlled sway bar disconnect can free the stabilizer bar at the press of a switch, increasing suspension articulation to help maintain tire contact on uneven terrain.

140 Examples Mark the Two Door Farewell

Japanese pricing is ¥8,990,000 including tax, with sales beginning through authorized Jeep dealers on September 10, 2026.

Its significance is less about adding mechanical performance and more about availability. In Jeep's 85th anniversary year, this Final Edition marks the end of the current Wrangler two door's official Japanese-market run.
