2027 Honda Prelude Limited Edition

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The limited run Prelude introduces exclusive Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic paint.

  • Bordeaux cabin trim, red stitching and embroidered details distinguish the interior.

  • Honda retains the Prelude e:HEV hybrid system and Honda S+ Shift technology.

The 2027 Honda Prelude Limited Edition is heading to Europe after making its debut in Japan. Honda has confirmed the model as a limited run for Model Year 2027, with European availability beginning in autumn 2026.

Rather than changing the basic formula of the new Prelude, the Limited Edition concentrates on colour, trim and smaller exterior details. The underlying e:HEV hybrid setup remains unchanged according to Honda.

Garnet Metallic Gives The Coupe A New Look

Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic is exclusive to this version. It is a deep red finish that follows the Prelude's flowing body surfaces, while contrasting red accents appear on both the front and rear bumpers.

The press imagery shows how the colour works across the coupe's low roof and broad rear shoulders, with the dark lower body treatment providing contrast.

Honda has not announced altered body dimensions, aero components or suspension settings for the Limited Edition. Its changes are primarily visual.

Black Wheels Meet Red Brembo Calipers

The exterior colour is paired with 19 inch black cut alloy wheels. Behind them sit red Brembo brake calipers, extending the red detailing beyond the bodywork.

That combination gives the side profile a slightly different character without changing the Prelude's basic proportions. Honda describes the car's design theme as being inspired by gliders, an influence intended to give the coupe a smoother visual character rather than the sharper approach associated with more overt sports cars.

Bordeaux Colour Reshapes The Cabin

Inside, the Limited Edition moves away from the exterior's darker contrasts with a Bordeaux colour scheme.

Red stitching runs across the steering wheel, centre console and dashboard, then continues onto the front seats and door lining pads. Dedicated floor mats receive another red accent. A Prelude logo is embroidered into the dashboard, appearing almost like a signature within the cabin.

Honda does not specify changes to the infotainment system, passenger capacity or luggage space in this Limited Edition release.

e:HEV Hybrid Hardware Is Retained

There is no special power increase for the Limited Edition in the supplied material. Honda confirms that the car retains the existing e:HEV hybrid setup together with Honda S+ Shift.

Specific engine output, electric motor figures, battery capacity, acceleration and fuel economy are not provided in this release, so those figures should not be inferred from other Prelude specifications.

Limited Run Starts In Autumn 2026

Honda has not disclosed how many examples of the Prelude 2027 Limited Edition will be produced, nor does the release provide European pricing.

What is confirmed is its positioning as a limited run version following the model's Japanese introduction. European customers will be able to get the car from autumn 2026, making it an early special edition of the revived Prelude rather than a separate performance derivative.
