2027 Hennessey Venom F5-M
By Lorenzo Bianchi July 6, 2026
The Venom F5-M becomes the world's most powerful manual-production hypercar with 2,031bhp.
A new six-speed gated manual gearbox transforms the F5 into a more driver-focused machine.
Only 12 Roadsters will be built, each individually specified through Hennessey's Maverick division.
2027 Hennessey Venom F5 M Debuts at Goodwood
There aren't many manufacturers moving toward manual gearboxes these days, especially once power figures climb beyond 2,000 horsepower. Hennessey has decided to go in the opposite direction. The 2027 Hennessey Venom F5-M swaps paddles for a traditional six-speed gated manual, creating what the company describes as its most engaging road car yet. It will make its public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed before an audience that appreciates exactly this kind of mechanical drama.
Designed Around the Manual Experience
Although the Venom F5-M shares its foundations with the Venom F5 Evolution, this isn't simply the same car fitted with a different transmission.
Hennessey says the manual gearbox prompted a much broader redesign. The hypercar receives a new carbon-fibre chassis, revised bodywork and bespoke aerodynamics that distinguish it from the rest of the F5 family. The most striking feature is a 55-inch dorsal fin stretching from the roof scoop to the rear deck. Besides giving the car an unmistakable profile, it also helps improve stability at speeds beyond 200mph. Air flowing around the roof scoop is directed toward the engine bay before being guided rearward by the fin.
The first customer car, finished in exposed purple carbon with gold accents, also carries hand-painted American and British flags on the trailing edge of the fin, reflecting both Hennessey's roots and the owner's nationality.
A Cockpit Built Around Driver Involvement
Open the door and it's immediately clear what makes this version different.
The centrepiece is a billet aluminium gear lever that moves through a precision-machined six-speed gate. Hennessey says every shift has been tuned to deliver a crisp mechanical feel, while the entire centre console has been redesigned around the manual transmission. The cockpit also receives bespoke materials and customer-specific personalization through the company's Maverick division, allowing every example to reflect its owner's preferences.
Fury V8 Keeps the Numbers Extraordinary
Despite the return of a manual gearbox, the engine remains anything but old school.
Behind the cockpit sits Hennessey's 6.6-litre twin-turbocharged Fury V8 producing 2,031bhp. That output makes the 2027 Hennessey Venom F5-M the world's most powerful manual-production road car. The rear-wheel-drive powertrain combines sophisticated traction control with carefully calibrated engine management to deliver progressive power through every gear rather than overwhelming the driver.
Exclusivity Comes Standard
Production will be limited to only 12 Roadsters worldwide, making the F5-M one of Hennessey's rarest creations. Pricing starts at $2.65 million before taxes, and the updated chassis architecture and six-speed manual will later become available across other Venom F5 variants, including Coupe, Roadster and Revolution models.
The 2027 Hennessey Venom F5-M arrives at a time when most hypercars rely entirely on paddle shifters and electronic assistance. Hennessey has chosen a different path. By pairing a traditional gated manual with more than 2,000bhp, the company isn't chasing nostalgia. It's giving experienced drivers something that's becoming increasingly rare—a machine that demands skill as much as courage.
