2027 GFG Style Peralta D
By Lorenzo Bianchi October 28, 2026
The GFG Style Peralta D is a one-off 2+2 Gran Turismo coupe created by Fabrizio Giugiaro for Mexican entrepreneur and collector Carlos Peralta.
Its exterior combines hand-hammered copper panels with copper-tinted mirrored glass, distinctive opening mechanisms and geometric lighting elements.
Based on Maserati GranTurismo mechanical components, the Peralta D features a carbon-fibre structure, aluminium chassis and a bespoke interior with copper-thread stitching.
2027 GFG Style Peralta D Debuts in Mexico
Fabrizio Giugiaro and GFG Style have revealed the Peralta D, a one-off grand touring coupe featuring hand-hammered copper bodywork and an unconventional glass canopy.
Presented at the 2026 Pastejé Automotive Invitational in Mexico on October 24, the car follows the earlier Peralta S, continuing the collaboration between Giugiaro and collector Carlos Peralta.
The 2027 GFG Style Peralta D continues with the monolithic design concept, but unlike the layout of the earlier project, it has a 2+2 seating arrangement.
Hand Hammered Copper and Mirrored Glass
Copper defines the Peralta D's exterior. Every body panel is shaped from the metal by hand, creating a continuous surface around the lower half of the car.
Above the waistline, mirrored glass receives a special treatment that closely matches the copper finish.
The front features narrow lighting elements positioned above a geometric grille.
Diamond-shaped openings, machined and laser-cut from aluminium, conceal functional lighting components.
The rear repeats the blade-style lighting treatment, with a horizontal light strip crossing the tail.
Low Silhouette and Unusual Opening Mechanism
The Peralta D carries a long, low coupe profile, with a sweeping roofline and broad rear bodywork.
Its surfaces are deliberately restrained, with relatively few character lines interrupting the metal panels.
Instead of conventional doors, the car uses an opening arrangement derived from the Peralta S's moving dome.
The rear section incorporates a gullwing mechanism designed to improve access to the second row.
Giugiaro cites the 1967 De Tomaso Mangusta, designed by his father Giorgetto, as an inspiration for this solution.
Bespoke Interior With Copper Stitching
Inside, the Peralta D continues the copper theme through metallic-effect leather upholstery covering the seats, dashboard and interior panels.
Perforated Alcantara inserts provide contrast, while genuine copper thread is used for the stitching.
The dashboard has an unusual symmetrical arrangement.
The driver's instrument cluster occupies the left side, while the passenger side incorporates a makeup station with an illuminated mirror and storage compartments.
A retractable refrigerator behind the centre console accommodates a champagne bottle and four copper glasses.
Maserati GranTurismo Based Engineering
Beneath the bespoke exterior, the Peralta D uses mechanical components derived from the Maserati GranTurismo.
The construction combines an aluminium chassis with a carbon-fibre supporting structure.
Its anthracite black wheels feature geometric patterns influenced by automotive design from the 1970s.
GFG Style has not disclosed engine specifications, transmission details or performance figures for the completed vehicle [Unverified].
A One Off Commission Rather Than a Production Model
The Peralta D was developed specifically for Carlos Peralta, with its name referencing his daughters and the Italian word donne.
Unlike a conventional new-model launch, the project represents an individual design commission rather than a planned production series.
No retail price or additional production plans are mentioned in the announcement.
