The 2027 Geely Xingyue L Plus is preparing to join Geely's SUV range as a larger companion to the existing Xingyue L. Official images released ahead of its September 5 launch show a five door, five seat model with familiar styling, but stretched proportions and several details intended to move it further upmarket.
Geely officially describes it as a mid to large flagship intelligent hybrid SUV, although the supplied source classifies it as a midsize SUV. Either way, it is physically larger than the Xingyue L.
Vertical Grille Dominates the Front
The Xingyue L Plus keeps the basic design language of the current model. Its front is dominated by a large vertical waterfall grille, surrounded by extensive chrome detailing that continues into the bumper. The result is a fairly traditional SUV face rather than the smoother front treatment seen on many newer electrified models.
LiDAR is visible in both the official photography and earlier application images. The source expects this to support more advanced driver assistance than the Xingyue L, potentially including urban navigation assistance, but those functions remain until Geely releases the final specification.
Larger Dimensions Change the Stance
At 4,955 mm long, 1,960 mm wide and 1,769 mm tall, the Xingyue L Plus has a substantial footprint. Its wheelbase stretches to 2,900 mm. Traditional door handles remain, along with factory roof rails and chrome surrounding the side windows, lower mirror edges and side skirts.
Wheel choices span 20 and 21 inches, with several designs planned. The official images highlight a more enclosed “pancake” style wheel. At the rear, a continuous light bar stretches across the body, while the shape is rounder than the regular Xingyue L and uses larger areas of chrome trim.
Interior Details Are Still Under Wraps
Geely has not released official cabin images, so the dashboard layout, displays, seating materials, luggage capacity and infotainment specification remain.
What is confirmed is the five seat layout. Given the 2,900 mm wheelbase and larger exterior dimensions, additional cabin space compared with the Xingyue L is [Inference], but no passenger measurements are provided in the source.
Gasoline and Hybrid Versions Are Planned
The powertrain range is broader than the model's official hybrid positioning might suggest. A pure gasoline version uses a 2.0T engine producing 213 kW, with a quoted 210 km/h top speed. Fuel consumption is listed at 7.97 to 8.15 L/100 km.
The hybrid gets a dedicated 2.0T engine producing 160 kW and a 3DHT hybrid transmission. Its maximum speed is 190 km/h.
