2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E Trail

The 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E Trail is a new package for the Select eAWD, with suspension raised by 10 mm at the front and 15 mm at the rear compared with the Select and Premium.
It features 19-inch Dark Carbonized Gray wheels, Michelin CrossClimate 2 tyres and a steering rack derived from the Mustang Mach-E Rally, along with Trail-specific exterior and interior detailing.
Standard 400W Pro Power Onboard supports small outdoor accessories, while optional Thule crossbars and an Interior Protection Package expand practicality. Deliveries are expected in Q1 2027.
2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E Trail Targets Gravel Roads
Ford has added a Trail package to the 2027 Mustang Mach-E range, aimed at drivers who regularly reach campsites, trailheads and outdoor destinations by gravel or dirt roads. The 2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E Trail is based on the Select eAWD rather than being a separate standalone model.
The changes are mechanical as well as visual. Ford has borrowed selected components from the Mustang Mach-E Rally, raised the suspension and included onboard power outlets for equipment used away from home.
Raised Suspension and Rally Derived Wheels
Ford has retuned the suspension with dedicated passive struts and springs at both axles. Compared with the Mach-E Select and Premium, the Trail sits 10 mm higher at the front and 15 mm higher at the rear.
Its 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray wheels feature as-cast graphics and are paired with Michelin CrossClimate 2 tyres. Both the wheels and tyres, along with the steering rack, come from the Mach-E Rally.
The goal is additional grip across paved routes, loose gravel and dirt tracks. Ford also identifies sand and changing winter conditions among the surfaces considered. Its examples focus on roads leading to outdoor destinations, not driving on paved surfaces alone.
Carbon Black Front Fascia and Trail Badging
A Carbon Black lower front fascia distinguishes the package from the regular Select. Ford has not detailed a redesigned grille, altered lighting or any body-width changes.
The slightly raised stance and dark 19-inch wheels give the Trail a different appearance while retaining the underlying electric crossover shape. No new exterior dimensions are provided for this version.
Cabin Details and Power for Outdoor Equipment
Inside, the Trail logo appears on the centre armrest. The announcement does not identify unique seats, additional digital displays or a revised infotainment system.
More useful at a campsite is standard 400W Pro Power Onboard. Outlets are fitted in the cargo area and at the back of the centre console, allowing occupants to charge devices or operate small equipment.
Ford specifically mentions camp lights, fans, pumps for paddleboards and bike tyre inflators. The stated 400W capacity should not be confused with a high-output power supply for larger tools.
Optional Roof Bars and Interior Protection
A Thule Clamp On Cross Bar Kit is offered through Ford's accessories site and is compatible with all Trail configurations. It can support roof-mounted accessories for bikes, kayaks and cargo boxes.
Buyers can also select an Interior Protection Package with all-weather floor mats and a cargo-area protector, or purchase it separately.
Electric Drivetrain and First Deliveries
The Trail package is specified for the all-wheel-drive Select. Ford's supplied announcement does not confirm a separate Trail-specific horsepower figure, battery range or acceleration time, so those figures remain [Unverified].
Trail buyers receive an additional 100,000 Ford Rewards points beyond the 22,000 points associated with a regular Mach-E purchase. The credits can be used towards eligible accessories, parts and other items.
Orders for the 2027 Mach-E range are open through Ford dealers, while Trail deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Ford has not specified a separate package price in the supplied material.
