2027 Eccentrica V12 Roadster
By Lorenzo Bianchi August 11, 2026
The Eccentrica V12 Roadster is a comprehensive re-engineering of the first-series Lamborghini Diablo, developed under former Lamborghini CTO Maurizio Reggiani.
A revised 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 produces 550 hp at 7,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque, reaching 100 kph in 3.8 seconds and 208 mph flat out.
Only 19 examples will be built, each individually configured with its owner through a bespoke tailoring process.
Eccentrica has pulled the roof off its restomod formula with the V12 Roadster, unveiled August 10 ahead of its public debut at The Quail. Where the original Eccentrica V12 established the San Marino-based house's approach to reimagining the first-series Lamborghini Diablo, the Roadster strips away the top entirely, turning that same platform into what founder Emanuel Colombini calls a more exposed, more demanding version of the car.
A Widened Stance Built on the Original Silhouette
The body is handled entirely in steel and carbon fiber, developed under Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini's former Chief Technical Officer and the engineer behind the Murciélago, Gallardo, Aventador and Huracán. Eccentrica widened the track and recalibrated the proportions to give the car a more planted posture, while keeping the Diablo's original silhouette recognizable underneath the changes. A dedicated aerodynamic study went into managing airflow around the now-open cabin, aimed at making the roofless format add to the experience rather than compromise it.
Proportions Grounded in a Reinforced Platform
Beneath the bodywork, the original Diablo platform has been reengineered with carbon fiber structural reinforcements, a redesigned suspension geometry using double wishbones front and rear, and a custom semi-active damper system. Weight distribution comes in at 41/59 front to rear, and curb weight sits at 3,395 pounds. Braking duties fall to a modern Brembo system with 380mm front and 345mm rear discs, running on Pirelli Trofeo R tires sized 255/30 R19 up front and 325/30 R19 at the rear.
An Interior Shaped by Touch as Much as Looks
Inside, Connolly leather, Alcantara, anodized materials and exposed carbon fiber combine across a cabin that Eccentrica says is configured individually for each owner through a bespoke tailoring process. No two examples will be identical, and the interior work is treated as part of the car's core identity rather than an afterthought layered onto the mechanical changes.
A Reengineered 5.7-Liter V12 Under the Hood
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter V12, revised through ECU recalibration, improved thermal management and optimized airflow to produce 550 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. A six-speed gated manual gearbox handles shifting, and the car reaches 100 kph in 3.8 seconds on its way to a 208 mph top speed. Hydraulic steering keeps the analog feel Eccentrica is chasing, a deliberate choice at a time when most performance cars have moved to electric assist.
Extremely Limited Availability
Only nineteen examples of the V12 Roadster will ever be built, each individually configured with its owner rather than offered as a standard specification. That scarcity, combined with the bespoke build process — more than 3,500 components developed per vehicle across the Eccentrica lineup — positions the Roadster firmly in collector-car territory rather than as a volume restomod.
A Debut Timed to Monterey Car Week
The V12 Roadster will be shown to the public for the first time on August 14 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, putting it in front of the same collector audience that turns out for Monterey Car Week's broader lineup of debuts.
