2027 Denza Z Coupe

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Denza Z Coupe pairs a 1,604 PS triple-motor AWD system with a 0–62 mph time of 2.25 seconds.

  • A new FLASH Charging system can recharge the battery from 10% to 97% in as little as nine minutes.

  • Despite its supercar performance, the coupe offers four seats, a usable luggage area, and extensive personalization options.

2027 Denza Z Coupe Makes Goodwood Debut

The 2027 Denza Z Coupe has officially stepped into the spotlight at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, giving the BYD-owned premium brand its first true supercar. It arrives alongside Spider and Racing variants, but the coupe is expected to become the core model thanks to its blend of performance, everyday usability, and striking design.

A sleek shape with purpose

From every angle, the Denza Z Coupe looks low, wide, and planted. The front fascia combines slim LED daytime running lights with sharply sculpted lower air intakes, while muscular fenders hint at the performance underneath. Around the back, diamond-shaped taillights give the car a distinctive signature without overwhelming the clean bodywork. Every vent and airflow channel has been designed with cooling, downforce, and efficiency in mind rather than decoration alone.

At 4,780 mm long, it's the most compact Denza model yet for Europe, although its 2,780 mm wheelbase gives it proportions closer to a larger grand tourer than a traditional two-seat supercar.

A driver focused cabin with everyday comfort

Inside, Denza has concentrated on keeping the driver at the center of the experience. The steering wheel features dedicated buttons for Boost and Track modes, while an 8.88-inch digital instrument display sits ahead of a 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google Built-in support. Carbon fiber, suede-effect materials, and metal trim give the cabin a premium feel without making it look overly complicated.

The front seats offer heating, ventilation, massage functions, power adjustment, and active side bolsters. Even with supercar performance on tap, the Coupe keeps a four-seat layout, while its rear seats fold to expand cargo space from 250 to 550 liters when needed.

Triple motors deliver serious pace

Power comes from Denza's new e3 Sports Car Platform, pairing one electric motor at the front with two independently controlled rear motors. Combined output reaches 1,604 PS and 1,240 Nm, sending power to all four wheels. The Coupe completes the sprint from 0–62 mph in 2.25 seconds before reaching a top speed of 186 mph.

The chassis combines double-wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear setup, DiSus-M adaptive damping, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a 76 kWh Blade Battery integrated into the body structure. Range is rated at up to 254 miles (WLTP).

Fast charging and a wider market focus

One of the biggest talking points is Denza's FLASH Charging system. Using compatible hardware, the Coupe can recharge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and from 10% to 97% in just nine minutes. That dramatically shortens charging stops and makes repeated high-performance driving sessions more practical.

With four seats, generous equipment, multiple color combinations, and a choice of Coupe, Spider, or Racing versions, the Denza Z appears aimed at buyers considering electric performance models from established European brands. Customer deliveries in selected markets are expected before the end of the year.
