2027 Citroen C5 Aircross Emeraude
By Lorenzo Bianchi September 10, 2026
Emerald Blue paint is joined by matching Color Clips and a specific Emeraude signature.
The PLUS based special edition adds heated front seats, an electric driver's seat, heated steering wheel and Drive Assist 2.0.
The C5 Aircross range includes hybrid, plug in hybrid and electric versions, with up to 680 km WLTP range available.
The 2027 Citroen C5 Aircross Emeraude gives the French SUV a more distinctive specification one year after the new generation arrived. Named after Brittany's Emeraude Coast, the special edition combines a new exterior color with specific cabin details and a longer list of comfort equipment.
There is a local connection behind the name. The C5 Aircross is developed and manufactured in France at Rennes La Janais, only a few kilometres from the coastline that inspired the Emeraude theme. The special edition is being previewed at the Breton Economic Forum on September 10 before sales begin in October 2026.
Emerald Blue Changes the C5 Aircross Look
The obvious difference is Emerald Blue, a new body color introduced with this version. Matching blue Color Clips appear on the front bumper and front door protection, giving the exterior small points of contrast rather than substantially changing the bodywork.
At the back, a French flag is incorporated into the aerodynamic appendages of the rear wing, with an Emeraude signature positioned alongside it. Buyers are not restricted to blue, either. Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey, Okenite White and Astoria Green are also available.
No Emeraude specific changes to the C5 Aircross's exterior dimensions, wheelbase or suspension height are mentioned in the supplied material.
Cabin Gets Its Own Emeraude Details
Based on the PLUS trim, the special edition carries the theme inside with an Emeraude interior treatment. Blue detailing appears on a label attached to the front seats and on an embossed fabric dashboard insert ahead of the passenger. Specific floor mats complete the changes.
Equipment is more significant. The driver's seat is electrically adjustable, while both front seats and the steering wheel are heated. There is also a second row armrest, wireless smartphone charging and a hands free powered tailgate.
The dashboard retains the 13 inch HD Waterfall touchscreen. Citroen also highlights generous rear passenger space and luggage capacity, although an exact boot volume is not provided in this release.
Comfort and Driver Assistance Take Priority
Citroen Advanced Comfort suspension with progressive hydraulic stops remains central to the C5 Aircross setup, paired with Advanced Comfort seats. The Emeraude also receives the Drive Assist 2.0 Pack.
That package includes lane positioning assistance, semi automatic lane changing, reversing traffic alert operating up to 40 metres and long range blind spot monitoring reaching up to 75 metres.
Hybrid and Electric Choices Remain
The wider C5 Aircross range offers hybrid, plug in hybrid and fully electric powertrains. Citroen says the extended range electric version can travel up to 680 km on the WLTP cycle.
Rather than changing the basic character of the C5 Aircross, Emeraude is primarily a design and equipment package. Its coastal references also tie the model more closely to Rennes La Janais, a Citroen production site that has operated for more than 60 years.
