The 2027 Chevrolet Trax introduces a redesigned grille, all-LED taillights, new wheel designs and an available power liftgate.

The Trax is refreshed with more than 20 standard safety and driver assist features and three trims, with a planned arrival at dealerships in the spring of 2027.
The 2027 Chevrolet Trax arrives with revised exterior styling, a redesigned digital dashboard and an expanded collection of standard safety features. Chevrolet has also simplified the small SUV's lineup to three trims: Trax, RS and ACTIV.
The update comes as Chevrolet reports strong demand for its two smallest SUVs. Combined sales of the Trax and Trailblazer have exceeded 250,000 vehicles year to date, according to the manufacturer.
Both models receive upgraded electrical and software architecture, although their exterior designs and equipment remain distinct.
Redesigned Grille and LED Rear Lighting
The most noticeable exterior changes include a new front grille and revised wheel designs.
Chevrolet has also updated the rear with all-LED taillights and a redesigned liftgate. The changes give the Trax a different appearance without introducing an entirely new body style.
Each trim receives its own exterior treatment. The base Trax has contrasting wheel finishes, the RS even more so with larger wheels and sportier styling.
ACTIV maintains its adventure-inspired styling, with a distinctive front-end design.
Three Trims, Each With Distinct Wheel Designs
The refreshed lineup loses the broader trim choices for three configurations.
RS models feature 19-inch wheels, the largest available on the 2027 Trax. The entry-level version receives a higher-contrast wheel finish, while ACTIV continues with its own exterior detailing.
Chevrolet has not disclosed revised dimensions, wheelbase measurements or ground clearance figures in the supplied announcement.
The update therefore centres on styling and equipment rather than confirmed changes to the vehicle's proportions.
Dual Digital Displays and Gemini Integration
Inside, Chevrolet has redesigned the instrument panel with distinctive hexagonal side air vents.
An 11-inch driver information display is now standard, positioned alongside a larger 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The system includes Google built-in with Gemini, bringing updated connected functionality to Chevrolet's entry-level SUV.
OnStar One also becomes available, with a 12-month included period. Its services include in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot capability and video streaming.
A new Storm Sky Gray interior colour introduces a more subdued finish to the cabin.
More Than 20 Standard Safety Features
The upgraded electrical architecture supports more than 20 standard safety and driver assistance features.
These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Zone Steering Assist, Front and Rear Park Assist and Safety Alert Seat.
Newly introduced standard systems include Reverse Automatic Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Side Bicyclist Alert and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking.
A Rear Seat Belt Indicator and Front Park Assist also join the expanded equipment list.
Power Liftgate and Spring 2027 Availability
For the first time, the Trax offers an available power liftgate, adding convenience when accessing the rear luggage compartment.
