2027 Chery Automobiles Arrizo 7
By Lorenzo Bianchi August 24, 2026
Chery has released official images of the new-generation Arrizo 7 compact sedan, confirming its debut at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show on 21 August.
The redesigned Arrizo 7 gets narrow twin headlights, a polygonal honeycomb-mesh grille, a continuous rear light bar based on earlier patent filings, and an aggressive rear diffuser.
Chery hasn't released powertrain figures for the new model; the only numbers available — a 1.5T engine with 147hp and a CVT gearbox.
A Sportier Face Ahead of Chengdu
Chery has released official images of the redesigned Arrizo 7 compact sedan, confirming it'll debut at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show when the event opens on 21 August. Worth clarifying upfront: nothing in Chery's reveal points to a 2027 model year — the debut itself is dated 2026, so that label should be treated with caution rather than taken as confirmed. The outgoing Arrizo 7 actually ceased production back in 2017, when it was priced between 72,900 and 126,900 yuan, which makes this less a facelift and more a genuine revival of the nameplate after roughly a decade off sale [Inference].
Exterior Design and Proportions
The new car adopts Chery's current family design language, led by narrow twin headlights and a polygonal front grille filled with honeycomb-style mesh — a combination aimed at giving the sedan a sportier read than its predecessor. Along the side, a pronounced waistline runs the length of the car, paired with conventional door handles, black-trimmed windows, five-spoke wheels and red brake calipers — the kind of details that usually signal a sportier trim rather than a base model [Inference]. At the rear, images based on earlier patent filings show a continuous, full-width taillight assembly and an aggressively styled diffuser, both carrying the sportier direction through from the front.
Powertrain and Performance
This is where care matters most. Chery has not released official powertrain information for the new-generation Arrizo 7 [Unverified]. The only figures available — a 1.5T engine producing 147 horsepower, paired with a CVT gearbox — are attributed to what's described only as "the current model," not confirmed as this redesigned car's specification. Given the outgoing Arrizo 7 has been out of production since 2017, it isn't even clear whether that reference is the same nameplate or a different Chery model entirely [Unverified]. Treat it as a rough benchmark, not a confirmed spec for the car shown here.
