The first vehicle from a new manufacturer often tries to establish an identity. The 2027 Bovensiepen 05 GT feels more focused than that. It arrives with a clear idea of what it wants to be: a grand tourer built around craftsmanship, performance, and individualisation.
Unveiled by Bovensiepen Automobile in Buchloe, Germany, the 05 GT follows the earlier Bovensiepen Zagato and becomes the company's latest expression of what it calls "Fine Driving." While the philosophy appears throughout the vehicle, it is perhaps most noticeable in the way design and engineering have been developed together rather than treated as separate elements.
Frank Stephenson Shapes The Exterior
Even standing still, the 2027 Bovensiepen 05 GT has the proportions expected of a modern grand tourer. Long, low and wide, it uses a distinctive wraparound design line that visually connects the front bumper, side skirts and rear section into a single continuous element.
The design was created with Frank Stephenson, whose previous work includes projects for BMW, MINI, Ferrari, Maserati and McLaren. Rather than relying on dramatic styling flourishes, the 05 GT focuses on surfacing and proportion.
At the front, a laser-cut stainless steel grille and large air intakes create a strong visual presence. Along the sides, a horizontal character line stretches the profile and contributes to a lower, more planted appearance. At the rear, the quad oval tailpipes of the Akrapovič titanium exhaust system immediately signal that performance plays an important role in the car's character.
Handcrafted Cabin Built Around Personalisation
Open the door and the emphasis shifts from performance to craftsmanship.
Each vehicle carries a numbered production plaque, reflecting the small-batch manufacturing approach used in Buchloe. The interior features a handcrafted Lavalina steering wheel, milled aluminium shift paddles, and leather-covered contact points throughout the cabin.
Customers are offered extensive opportunities to personalise their vehicle. Leather colours, stitching patterns, trim finishes, seatback inserts and even bespoke embroidery can be specified according to individual preferences. Bovensiepen says there are virtually no limits to interior configuration, allowing each car to be tailored to its owner.
Performance Developed In Buchloe
Under the bodywork, the 05 GT combines extensive engineering development with significant power output.
A revised intake system, optimised airflow management and specially calibrated engine software contribute to a system output of 589 kW (800 hp) and 1,100 Nm of torque. Bovensiepen says development included testing in both extreme weather conditions and at high-speed proving grounds including Papenburg and Nardò.
The chassis receives model-specific tuning with modified support bearings, Eibach springs and a dedicated strut tower brace. Specially developed Pirelli tyres carrying BOV sidewall markings are paired with 21-inch forged wheels featuring twenty milled spokes.
Performance figures underline the car's capabilities. The 05 GT reaches 100 km/h in less than 3.6 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 305 km/h.
A New Grand Touring Alternative
The 2027 Bovensiepen 05 GT enters the market as a highly specialised grand tourer aimed at buyers seeking exclusivity alongside performance.
With its combination of handcrafted production, extensive customisation options and substantial power output, the model occupies a niche space within the luxury GT segment. Deliveries are scheduled to begin during the fourth quarter of 2026, with pricing in Germany starting at €198,900.
