The optional M Sport Package Professional adds darkened Iconic Glow kidneys, 21-inch M aerodynamic wheels, black M Sport brake calipers, extended Shadowline trim and a black rear spoiler.
The seventh-generation 7 Series introduces BMW Panoramic Vision, a 17.9-inch Central Display and a standard 14.6-inch Passenger Screen. US pricing for the 740 xDrive starts at $102,800.
2027 BMW 740 xDrive M Sport Pro Receives Updated Design
BMW has introduced the updated 2027 7 Series, bringing Neue Klasse technology and revised exterior styling to its flagship luxury sedan.
The 2027 BMW 740 xDrive M Sport Package Pro G70 combines the updated six-cylinder petrol engine with the optional M Sport Package Professional, giving the luxury sedan darker exterior detailing and dedicated M equipment.
The new model debuted on April 22, 2026, with simultaneous presentations in New York and Beijing.
Darkened Kidney Grille and M Sport Aerodynamics
The redesigned front features a slimmer, more upright Iconic Glow kidney grille with horizontal illumination.
Narrow daytime running lights sit above the main headlights, while optional BMW Individual crystal headlights incorporate twelve crystal glass elements per side.
The M Sport Package Professional introduces a darkened kidney grille, M-specific bumpers and extended Shadowline exterior detailing.
Larger air intakes and air curtains accompany the M Aerodynamics Package, while darkened rear lights and a black M spoiler complete the exterior changes.
21 Inch M Wheels and Sculpted Sedan Profile
The BMW 740 xDrive retains the elongated proportions of the seventh-generation 7 Series.
A character line extends from the front apron along the lower doors towards the rear, while flush-mounted door handles maintain the clean body surfaces.
The M Sport Package Professional introduces dark-finished 21-inch M aerodynamic wheels and black-painted M Sport brake calipers.
High-gloss black window surrounds and mirror bases contribute to the darker appearance. At the rear, slim taillights feature smoked glass detailing and internal chrome elements.
Panoramic iDrive and M Sport Interior
Inside, BMW Panoramic Vision projects driving information across the lower windscreen.
A floating 17.9-inch Central Display operates through BMW Operating System X, accompanied by a standard 14.6-inch Passenger Screen.
The M Sport Package Professional adds an M steering wheel, while optional Carbon Fiber M interior trim features Silver Threads and Piano Black surfaces.
BMW also offers Merino leather upholstery, ambient lighting and electrically adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions.
Updated Inline Six Produces 394 HP
The 2027 BMW 740 xDrive uses an updated six-cylinder inline petrol engine producing 394 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque.
A revised turbocharger contributes to the increased output.
BMW states that the all-wheel-drive sedan accelerates from 0–60 mph in less than five seconds, reaching an electronically limited maximum speed of 155 mph.
The updated 7 Series also offers Level 2 driver assistance and optional Adaptive Chassis Control Professional for selected models.
Rear Passenger Comfort and US Pricing
Rear passengers can specify a 31.3-inch BMW Theater Screen featuring 8K resolution and integrated Zoom video calling.
An optional Executive Lounge arrangement provides an extended reclining position and integrated leg support.
For everyday convenience, BMW offers automated doors and a digital interior mirror, alongside standard Parking Assistant Plus.
In the U.S., the 2027 BMW 740 xDrive starts at $102,800 before a $1,550 destination fee.
