A Concept Rooted in Ceremony, Not Nostalgia
The 2027 Aznom Automotive L’EPOQUE does not present itself as a future product preview in the conventional sense. Instead, it arrives as a design statement, one that looks back to the era when cars were cultural objects rather than digital platforms. Developed by Aznom Automotive with CAMAL Studio, L’EPOQUE draws its inspiration from the chauffeur-driven parade cars and grand coupés of the 1920s and 1930s. The intent, as described by its creators, is not revival but translation, taking the values of coachbuilding, Art Deco rhythm, and stage presence and expressing them through contemporary form and technology.
Monumental Proportions and Architectural Surfaces
At approximately eight metres in length, L’EPOQUE deliberately steps outside modern automotive norms. Its long bonnet, rearward cabin placement, and boat-tail rear establish proportions that feel closer to ceremonial transport than everyday mobility. Art Deco influence appears not as ornament, but as structure: verticality, repetition, and full-bodied surfaces define the exterior. The vertical LED headlights cast a soft, champagne-colored glow, and the front grille reads more architectural than aggressive. Lighting at the back is subdued and intended to be present but not overpowering. The exceptionally large 30-inch wheels underline the concept’s emphasis on presence and scale.
An Interior Designed to Be Lived In
Inside, L’EPOQUE abandons traditional seating logic. The cabin is imagined as a private lounge, anchored by a large rear sofa and supported by two fold-away seats that complete a 2+2+2 configuration when needed. There is a clear hierarchy here: passengers come first, everything else recedes. Handcrafted wood, fine leathers, and carefully selected fabrics define the environment, echoing Italian furniture-making rather than automotive trim. Soundproofing, both passive and active, is treated as a core element of privacy rather than a technical add-on.
Technology That Refuses to Perform
Technology in L’EPOQUE is deliberately discreet. Through natural voice interaction, an AI-powered assistant controls the onboard ecology, modifying lighting, sound, atmosphere, and climate based on personal profiles. Controls and screens are kept hidden until needed. Predictive controls, sophisticated driver aid systems, and adaptive suspension all work silently in the background with the declared goal of maintaining peace rather than demonstrating capabilities. The trip is presented as a continuation of life rather than a change of scenery.
Electric Propulsion as a Supporting Act
The proposed drivetrain combines four electric motors, one per wheel, delivering a total output exceeding 1000 hp, with a V6 motor-generator acting as a range extender for a 100 kWh battery. The ladder-frame architecture supports intelligent all-wheel drive, active suspension, and automatic levelling to maintain composure across uneven surfaces. Aznom is clear that L’EPOQUE remains a style study with theoretical feasibility, though the possibility of a one-off or limited production run is acknowledged.
