2026 Xiaomi YU7 GT

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Dual motor EV with around 1003 hp and 300 km/h top speed.

  • Nürburgring testing points to serious track intent.

  • 101.7 kWh battery with up to 705 km claimed range.

Track focused styling with clear intent

The 2026 Xiaomi YU7 GT doesn’t leave much to interpretation.

Seen lapping the Nürburgring without camouflage, the SUV looks closer to a finished product than a prototype. The changes over a standard YU7 are easy to spot. The front bumper has been opened up, with a deeper lower intake and a more pronounced splitter sitting low to the ground.

From certain angles, the nose looks almost too sharp for an SUV. But then you notice how everything ties back to airflow. The same applies to the rear, where a larger diffuser and a reshaped bumper give it a more planted look.

Nothing here feels decorative. It’s all tied to performance, or at least that’s the impression it gives.

Wide stance backed by large dimensions

On paper, the YU7 GT is a big vehicle.

It measures 5,015 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width, and 1,597 mm in height, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. Those numbers put it right in the middle of the large performance SUV category.

But the way it sits matters more than the numbers. The wider arches and larger wheels push the stance outward, making it look lower and broader than expected. It’s the kind of setup that usually points toward high speed stability rather than just visual presence.

Interior remains a question mark for now

There’s still very little to go on inside.

Xiaomi hasn’t released official cabin details for the YU7 GT. Based on what’s been seen in the SU7, a tech heavy layout seems likely, with a focus on screens and connected features.

That said, nothing specific has been confirmed yet. Materials, seating layout, and interface design all remain [Unverified].

Power figures place it deep in performance territory

The numbers, though, are already out.

The YU7 GT runs a dual motor setup, with 288 kW at the front and 450 kW at the rear. Combined output sits at 738 kW, which translates to roughly 1003 horsepower. That’s well into super SUV territory.

Top speed is listed at 300 km/h. For something this size, that’s a serious figure. It raises questions about how the chassis and aerodynamics are tuned to manage it, especially on track.

Battery size and range add another layer

The performance isn’t coming at the expense of range, at least on paper.

A 101.7 kWh battery pack is expected, with a claimed range of up to 650 km or 705 km depending on configuration. The testing cycle hasn’t been specified, so those figures should be treated cautiously. [Unverified]

Still, it suggests Xiaomi is aiming for a balance. Not just speed, but usability over longer distances as well.

Positioned against established names

The Nürburgring setting isn’t accidental.

This is the same track where SUVs like the Audi RS Q8 Performance and Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT have set benchmark lap times. By testing here, Xiaomi is placing the YU7 GT in that same conversation.

Whether it gets close to those times is still unknown. [Speculation]

Pricing is expected to land between 450,000 and 500,000 yuan, which puts it in an interesting position. Not cheap, but still undercutting some established rivals in its home market.

The 2026 Xiaomi YU7 GT feels direct in its approach. Big numbers, visible hardware changes, and a clear focus on performance. The next step is seeing how it all comes together beyond the track.
