2026 WEY Tank 300 blends rugged looks with modern technology
The 2026 WEY Tank 300 continues to build on its distinctive rugged SUV identity, combining traditional off-road styling with a technology-focused cabin and an electrified powertrain. While its overall appearance remains familiar, the latest version introduces several visual updates that strengthen its road presence and give it a more substantial look.
Rather than moving away from the square-edged design that has become synonymous with the model, the SUV embraces it. The upright body shape remains one of its defining characteristics, but details such as a noticeably thicker front grille, cleaner body lines and more pronounced wheel arches create a tougher overall appearance.
Larger proportions make a strong impression
From the side, the vehicle has an unmistakably imposing stance. Large 33-inch tyres fill the extended wheel arches, reinforcing its off-road-inspired character while giving the SUV an even stronger visual presence.
According to the source material, the vehicle measures more than five metres in length and features a 3,010 mm wheelbase. Those dimensions make it unusually large for its segment in the Chinese market and contribute to generous rear passenger accommodation. The document notes that three adults can sit comfortably across the second row without feeling cramped.
Cabin focuses on comfort and digital technology
Inside, the cabin combines traditional SUV practicality with modern technology. A pair of 12.3-inch displays forms the centrepiece of the dashboard, joined by a head-up display that provides key driving information within the driver's field of view.
The interior also makes extensive use of soft-touch materials and wood trim, giving the cabin a more premium atmosphere. The source notes that the overall build quality is good, although it also mentions that the steering wheel texture and some switchgear could benefit from further refinement.
Plug-in hybrid delivers serious performance
The biggest talking point is the drivetrain. The source describes a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 plug-in hybrid system producing a combined 864 horsepower and 1,200 Nm of torque.
Performance figures are equally striking, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds despite the vehicle weighing more than two tonnes. The plug-in hybrid system also provides an all-electric driving range of around 200 kilometres, reducing the need for frequent refuelling during city use. When the battery is depleted, fuel consumption is said to approach 10 litres per 100 kilometres.
