Venucia has confirmed that the 2026 Venucia V DD i Orca will officially launch on January 13. Rather than introducing a new generation, the brand is approaching this update with restraint. The focus is placed squarely on three areas that matter most in daily use: driving range, charging performance, and fuel consumption. It is a familiar strategy for a model that already plays in a competitive, value driven segment.
Current pricing for the outgoing Orca spans from 129,900 to 149,900 yuan, with promotional pricing and incentives in place. While pricing for the updated version has not yet been announced, the structure of the launch suggests continuity rather than a major repositioning.
Design that stays deliberately familiar
From the official images, the 2026 Orca looks immediately recognizable. Venucia continues with its “Whale Wing Wave Chasing” design language, a name that may sound poetic but translates into clean surfacing and a softly sculpted body. The split headlamp layout remains, now paired with seven different welcome lighting modes that add a sense of occasion without altering the core shape.
At the rear, a full width taillight stretches across the tailgate, tapering vertically at each end. Particularly from a distance, it adds visual depth and a planted stance to the Orca. The dimensions remain the same at 4,620 mm for length, 1,917 mm for width, and 1,629 mm for height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. These figures, which strike a balance between manageable road presence and interior space, keep the Orca firmly in the compact SUV category.
A digital cabin built around routine use
Inside, the layout remains consistent with the current model. A dual 12.3 inch screen setup dominates the dashboard, creating a wide digital band that prioritizes clarity over experimentation. The system runs on an 8155 chip and supports the “Hello Xiaochen” voice assistant, along with a smartphone virtual key and NFC contactless smart start.
These features are not framed as cutting edge, but they align with the Orca’s role as a practical family vehicle. Even the manually adjustable anti glare rearview mirror points toward a focus on function rather than novelty.
Plug in hybrid system stays at the core
Mechanically, the Orca continues with its established plug in hybrid layout. A 1.5 liter turbocharged engine produces 123 kW, working alongside an electric motor rated at 150 kW. Energy is stored in a 21.1 kWh battery pack.
As of right now, this setup has a combined driving range of up to 1,172 km and a pure electric driving range of 150 km under CLTC testing.
