2026 Vauxhall Mokka GSE
By Lorenzo Bianchi July 24, 2025
Vauxhall’s quickest all-electric model, with 156 PS and firmer suspension.
Visual upgrades include GSe badging, two-tone styling, and 19-inch wheels.
Lower, stiffer, and more responsive than the standard Mokka Electric.
Sharper, Faster, Still Familiar
The 2026 Vauxhall Mokka GSE builds on the existing electric Mokka, but don’t mistake it for a badge-and-stripe job. This one’s been worked over. Under the skin is the same 156 PS (115 kW) motor as the updated Mokka Electric — nothing radical on paper. But thanks to lowered suspension, stiffer springs, and retuned steering, it feels more focused.
No word on precise 0–100 times yet, but Vauxhall calls it their fastest electric car to date. It’s not aiming for hot hatch numbers. It’s more about character and feel — and on that front, it lands.
Stance That Means It
You notice the difference straight away. The GSE squats lower, the wheels — 19-inch black alloys — sit snug in the arches. There’s a slight visual width to the car now, thanks in part to the gloss black Vizor grille and contrasting black roof. Side mirrors match. GSe badging is subtle but purposeful.
It’s clean, confident. Still recognizably a Mokka, but with tension in the lines. Especially over the rear haunches, where the surfacing feels a little tighter. It doesn’t try too hard.
Interior Tweaks, Not a Redesign
Cabin-wise, it’s mostly familiar. The GSe treatment brings Alcantara-trimmed sports seats with bolder bolstering. Yellow contrast stitching adds a touch of flair without going over the top.
The Pure Panel display remains — a horizontal sweep integrating digital cluster and infotainment — and keeps the cockpit clean and driver-focused. No wild changes, just enough to feel like you’re in the upgraded spec.
More Grit Than Most EV Crossovers
Compared to rivals like the Peugeot e-2008 or Hyundai Kona Electric, the Mokka GSE adds something many EVs in this space lack — a sense of intent. It’s not flashy. But it’s not trying to fade into traffic either.
It won’t out-sprint bigger EVs, but it’s not about that. The chassis tweaks, the lowered stance, the way it looks ready to be driven — it’s enough to give the Mokka GSE some presence.
Pricing and Market Position
Official pricing hasn’t been released, but expect it to sit above the standard Mokka Electric. No surprise there, given the added kit and suspension tuning.
Launch is slated for later this year. It’ll likely find buyers who want electric without the blandness — something compact, a little sporty, and different from the usual crossover fare.
Final Thoughts
The 2026 Vauxhall Mokka GSE doesn’t reinvent the segment. But it brings some muscle tone to a space full of soft edges. It’s still practical, still quiet, still electric. Just now with a bit of attitude.
