The Woodland collection explores everyday outdoor usability, although Toyota has not disclosed RAV4-specific powertrain figures, suspension measurements or production plans.
Toyota RAV4 Woodland Concept Revealed for SEMA 2026
Toyota has introduced the 2026 Toyota RAV4 Woodland Concept, a modified plug-in hybrid SUV developed for the 2026 SEMA Show.
Officially called the RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept, the vehicle joins the Grand Highlander, Sienna, bZ and Crown Signia in Toyota's five-model Woodland collection.
The programme explores how existing passenger vehicles can be adapted for travel beyond paved roads without abandoning their everyday usefulness.
CALTY Design Research established a shared design direction for the collection, bringing together coordinated exterior finishes, suspension modifications and equipment intended for outdoor activities.
Horizon Blue Paint and Contrasting Exterior Details
The RAV4 Woodland Concept receives Horizon Blue paint, a colour inspired by Toyota's historical palette from the 1960s.
Toyota references earlier vehicles such as the Stout, Crown and Corona when explaining the shade's origins.
A contrasting treatment across the hood and roof provides another identifying feature of the Woodland collection.
The broader design also incorporates enlarged over-fenders, visually separating these concepts from conventional road-oriented vehicles.
Together, the additions establish a consistent appearance across five different Toyota body styles.
Raised Suspension and All Terrain Tires
Lift kits form part of the common Woodland equipment programme, giving the vehicles a raised stance.
The RAV4's compact SUV proportions provide the basis for this interpretation, with the elevated bodywork and enlarged wheel arches adding visual emphasis.
Satin-black wheels and all-terrain tires are included among the collection's shared design themes.
No suspension geometry or wheel specifications specific to this concept have been announced.
Roof Equipment and Practical Usability
Toyota's Woodland collection also incorporates roof racks and crossbars, extending the vehicles' ability to accommodate equipment for outdoor activities.
For the RAV4, the concept explores how an electrified compact SUV could serve drivers travelling between urban environments, trailheads and campsites.
The modifications concentrate on carrying equipment and adapting the vehicle's exterior configuration for recreational travel.
Woodland Prototype and Production Prospects
The RAV4 Woodland Plug-in Hybrid Concept forms part of Toyota's broader exploration of outdoor-focused vehicle configurations.
The five prototypes demonstrate how a shared design theme can be applied to different electrified and family-oriented models.
Toyota cautions that some accessories may affect vehicle safety, warranty coverage or road legality.
