The Tata Aeris is designed exclusively for private buyers and will not be offered for fleet use.
Its cabin combines a 10.25 inch touchscreen, digital cluster, ventilated seats, wireless charging and a 419 litre boot.
A 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine and iCNG powertrain are available with manual and AMT transmissions.
The 2027 Tata Aeris is a new compact sedan aimed specifically at India's private car buyer, separating itself from models designed to cover both personal and fleet markets. Tata launched the Aeris on September 25, 2026, with introductory prices starting at ₹5.29 lakh for petrol and ₹6.29 lakh for iCNG.
Bookings are already open, with deliveries scheduled to begin October 11.
Wide Stance Gives Aeris Its Own Identity
The Aeris uses a wide, planted stance with signature LED headlamps and DRLs framing the front. A broad lower grille gives the nose more visual width, while diamond cut aero alloy wheels add detail along the sides.
At the rear, a prominent deck lid maintains a clear three box sedan silhouette. Infinity Connected LED tail lamps stretch across the rear treatment. A contrasting black roof, Cosmo Grain textured wheel arch cladding and chrome line door handles complete the exterior detailing.
Dual Screens And Ventilated Seats Inside
Tata has given the Aeris a fairly equipment heavy cabin for its segment. AeroLux ventilated leatherette seats sit within what the company calls an OpenView dashboard, with two displays positioned across the driver's side.
The main infotainment screen measures 26.03 cm, or 10.25 inches, while a 12.7 cm Digital Island Cluster handles instrumentation. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included, alongside iRA connectivity with more than 35 connected features.
A Dual Smartphone Deck incorporates wireless charging. Automatic climate control, rear AC vents and 65W Type C fast charging are also available.
Practicality remains part of the sedan brief. The boot holds 419 litres, giving the Aeris dedicated luggage space for family and longer distance use.
Six Airbags Come As Standard
Six airbags are standard, along with electronic stability control, ABS with EBD and CSC, Hill Hold Control and ISOFIX mounting points.
Driver assistance equipment includes a Blind View Monitor, MultiView Digital Video Recorder and a 360 degree HD camera offering multiple 2D and 3D views. Auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers and a rear defogger are also included.
Petrol And iCNG Cover The Powertrain Range
The petrol version uses Tata's 1.2 litre Revotron engine with either a five speed manual or AMT. Tata has not provided power or torque figures in this release.
An iCNG version is also offered with manual and AMT choices. Its twin cylinder arrangement is intended to preserve usable luggage space, while dedicated CNG safety measures include leak detection, thermal incident protection and rear crash protection.
Tata says the Aeris will remain exclusive to private customers, with fleet demand continuing to be served separately by the Xpres T brand. That positioning is central to the new sedan: rather than adapting a fleet focused car for private ownership, Aeris has been developed specifically around personal and family use.
