Wider Grille Gives the Baleno a New Face
The biggest visual change is up front. Suzuki has reworked its NEXWave grille with prominent three dimensional patterns and horizontal chrome slats. It is wider than before, visually stretching the nose, while a newly sculpted bumper and redesigned lower grille sit underneath.
NEXTre LED daytime running lights remain part of the design, joined by chrome fender garnishes and a shark fin antenna. Seven exterior colors are available, including the newly introduced Enigmatic Teal.
The dimensions remain compact: 3,990 mm long, 1,745 mm wide and 1,530 mm tall, with a 2,520 mm wheelbase. Lower variants use 15 inch steel wheels, while Zeta and Alpha grades move to 16 inch alloys.
Level 2 ADAS Arrives
Safety technology receives a substantial update. A radar and camera based Level 2 ADAS suite brings eight functions, including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure prevention, autonomous emergency braking and forward collision warning.
Six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill hold control, reverse parking sensors and tire pressure monitoring are also included within the NEXA Safety Shield equipment.
Ventilated Seats Join the Cabin
Inside, the Baleno uses a dual tone treatment with piano black inserts and leatherette upholstery. Ventilated front seats are a new addition. The cabin image on page 3 also shows the familiar dashboard layout centred around a freestanding infotainment display.
That screen is a 9 inch SmartPlay Pro+ unit supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A Clarion audio system, wireless phone charging with active cooling, head up display and 360 degree camera are also offered. Suzuki Connect provides more than 40 connected functions.
