2026 Subaru WRX Series Yellow
By Lorenzo Bianchi September 19, 2026
Subaru will produce just 350 WRX Series.Yellow cars, each based on the WRX tS and finished in Sunrise Yellow.
The 2.4-liter Boxer produces 271 hp and sends power through a six-speed manual and Symmetrical AWD.
STI-tuned adjustable dampers, Brembo brakes and 19-inch matte black wheels form the core chassis package.
The 2026 Subaru WRX Series.Yellow takes the WRX tS specification and wraps it in one of Subaru's more recognizable colors. Production is capped at 350 cars, and there is no automatic transmission option. Every example gets a six-speed manual.
Subaru announced the limited-production WRX alongside a matching BRZ Series.Yellow, with both scheduled for their public debut at Boxerfest 2025 in York, Pennsylvania. Each is based on its respective tS trim and receives its own exterior and interior color treatment.
Sunrise Yellow Meets Matte Black Wheels
The exterior change that immediately separates this WRX is Sunrise Yellow. Subaru has used the color before, including on the 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition and Japan-market WRX STI S207. Here it is contrasted by 19-inch alloy wheels with a matte black finish.
Subaru does not describe any Series.Yellow-specific aerodynamic changes or altered body dimensions in the supplied release. The visual treatment instead centers on the paint and wheels, retaining the underlying WRX tS configuration.
STI Tuned Dampers And Brembo Brakes
Power comes from a 2.4-liter Subaru Boxer engine producing 271 hp. It is paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission and Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
The chassis receives electronically controlled adjustable dampers tuned by Subaru Tecnica International. Brembo performance brakes sit behind the 19-inch wheels, which are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires.
Subaru has not quoted acceleration, torque or top-speed figures for the Series.Yellow in this announcement.
Yellow Details Continue Inside
The bright exterior color is referenced more selectively in the cabin. Yellow contrast stitching runs through the upholstery, instrument panel and door panels.
Recaro Performance Design front seats receive the same contrast stitching, accompanied by yellow accents within their perforated sections. The dashboard combines Subaru's 11.6-inch Multimedia infotainment system with a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster.
It keeps the WRX's practical four-door layout while giving the limited edition a cabin treatment that directly relates to the exterior color [Inference].
A 350 Car WRX Special Edition
Rather than adding more engine output, the Series.Yellow builds on the WRX tS through its limited production run, manual-only configuration and distinctive color combination. The STI-tuned suspension, Brembo hardware and performance tires remain central to the package.
