Regulatory filing images show a new 7-seat MPV expected to be named the Stelato V8, measuring 5,335mm long on a 3,250mm wheelbase.
The range-extended version uses a 1.5T engine with 118kW output, paired with single- or dual-motor setups reaching up to 227kW.
Pure-electric range figures of 275km, 260km and 339km are listed across 56kWh and 75.4kWh battery options.
A new MPV from Stelato — referred to in Chinese-market reporting under its literal translation, Xiangjie MPV — has turned up in the latest batch of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology filings. Based on the rear badge visible in those images, the vehicle is expected to carry the name Stelato V8. At 5,335mm long with a 3,250mm wheelbase, it matches the wheelbase of the existing Zhijie V9, and it's set to offer both pure-electric and range-extended powertrains across a seven-seat layout.
A Clean, Simplified Front End
The exterior takes on what's described as a completely new design direction for the brand. Up front, a continuous light strip runs above a closed grille finished in chrome trim, with a trapezoidal air intake positioned below and split headlights flanking either side. The filing suggests the V8 will carry an 896-line lidar unit on the roof, and it may pair with Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving system, though that pairing isn't confirmed outright.
Proportions Built for Aerodynamics
Full dimensions from the filing put the V8 at 5,335mm long, 2,005mm wide and 1,805mm tall, riding on that same 3,250mm wheelbase. The A-pillar carries a noticeably steep slope, a detail the source material ties directly to reducing wind resistance — a reasonable design goal for a vehicle this size, even if Stelato hasn't published a drag coefficient. Every version comes standard with 19-inch wheels wrapped in 255/55 R19 tires, with five different wheel designs available and red brake calipers offered as an option.
A Rear Design That Echoes the Front
At the back, a continuous taillight design mirrors the shape of the front light strip, creating what the filing calls a layered look between the two ends of the car. Buyers will also be able to option a smoked black exterior package along with LC dimming privacy glass, giving the V8 some visual customization beyond the standard trim.
