2026 Skoda Karoq Black Edition

The Black Edition celebrates one million Karoqs produced and becomes the most highly equipped version in the range.
Standard equipment includes 19 inch Vega black wheels, heated leather sports seats, panoramic roof and CANTON audio.
Four powertrain combinations are offered, including 190PS petrol and 150PS diesel versions with DSG and four wheel drive.
The 2026 Skoda Karoq Black Edition arrives as a new range topping version of Skoda's compact SUV, introduced as global Karoq production passes the one million mark. It builds on the existing SportLine Edition rather than changing the underlying Karoq formula, adding a long list of standard equipment and a darker exterior treatment.
UK order books open on October 1, 2026, with first deliveries expected before the end of the year. Prices start at £39,160 OTR.
Black Details Give the Karoq a Darker Look
The exterior changes are straightforward. Black Edition models sit on 19 inch Vega black alloy wheels and add black roof rails, door mirrors and radiator grille. Sports front and rear bumpers carry over the more assertive treatment, joined by a rear diffuser.
Even the badging follows the theme, with black Skoda and Karoq lettering across the tailgate. Metallic paint is standard but restricted to a monochrome palette, so the overall appearance stays deliberately restrained rather than relying on bright contrasting colors.
Full LED Matrix headlights are also standard, including adaptive front lighting, cornering and poor weather functions.
Leather Sports Seats and Panoramic Roof Inside
The cabin receives SportLine Suite leather seats, black headlining and a large panoramic glass roof. Heated seats are fitted front and rear, while tri zone climate control gives occupants separate temperature adjustment.
A heated three spoke multifunction leather steering wheel is standard, with shift paddles on DSG versions. Aluminium pedals, LED ambient lighting with a Skoda welcome logo and a CANTON sound system complete the equipment list.
Skoda does not provide revised passenger or luggage dimensions for the Black Edition, indicating that the changes are primarily specification based rather than structural.
Four Drivetrain Choices Include 4x4
The entry powertrain is a 1.5 TSI petrol producing 150PS. Buyers can pair it with either a six speed manual or seven speed DSG transmission.
Above that sits a 190PS 2.0 TSI with seven speed DSG and all wheel drive as standard. Diesel remains available too, with the 150PS 2.0 TDI also combining DSG with four wheel drive. All engines belong to the Volkswagen Group's EVO generation.
Dynamic chassis control and Progressive steering are standard across the Black Edition range, adding mechanical substance beyond the cosmetic changes. A heated windscreen is included as well.
Black Edition Marks a Production Milestone
Pricing stretches from £39,160 for the 1.5 TSI manual to £46,035 for the 2.0 TDI DSG 4x4. The 190PS petrol 4x4 costs £45,335.
The timing is significant for Skoda. Launched in 2017, the Karoq has now passed one million units worldwide, including more than 103,000 sold in the UK. The Black Edition marks that milestone with more equipment rather than a major redesign, placing it above the SportLine Edition as the most comprehensively specified Karoq currently offered.
