2026 Scout Motors Traveler Trail-Ready Concept

The trail ready Traveler uses full metal bumpers, an integrated front winch, rock rails and a rear tow hitch.
Gloss and satin black 18 inch beadlock wheels are paired with 35 inch off road tires.
Its Denim District cabin combines Brick Red leather with denim inspired fabrics and workwear influences.
The 2026 Scout Traveler Trail Ready Concept takes the Traveler SUV in a distinctly more functional direction. Revealed alongside the more polished Mountainside Concept, it is Scout Motors' interpretation of the same SUV prepared around off road use rather than premium materials and finishes. Both concepts make their first joint public appearance at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience in Colorado, September 4 to 6.
Galvanized Steel Sets a Functional Tone
Scout calls the exterior color Galvanized Steel, a finish influenced by raw metal and utility equipment. A contrasting Canvas colored roof breaks up the otherwise industrial looking exterior treatment.
The underlying Traveler shape remains upright and squared off, but this version carries considerably more hardware. Full metal front and rear bumpers are designed to preserve approach and departure angles, while an integrated winch sits at the front.
There is a rear tow hitch too. Rock rails protect the lower body, and an elevated roof rack carries forward facing trail lights. It looks purpose driven because most of what has been added has a specific job.
Smaller Wheels Make Room for 35 Inch Tires
Rather than the Mountainside's 22 inch wheels, the trail ready concept runs 18 inch beadlock wheels finished in a combination of gloss and satin black. They are wrapped in 35 inch off road tires, giving the Traveler a noticeably different stance.
At the back, an exterior spare tire carrier incorporates a fuel caddy. Above it, the black Cabana Top roof can provide a fully open air configuration.
Workwear Influences the Interior
The cabin follows what Scout calls its Denim District theme. Brick Red leather covers the dashboard, seats, armrests and grab handles, creating a strong color contrast with the exterior.
Denim inspired fabric appears on the upper portions of the seats, door panels and accessory straps. Scout says the material direction takes cues from American workwear and the brand's agricultural roots.
A More Focused Traveler Before Production
The Trail Ready and Mountainside concepts demonstrate two different directions for the same Traveler platform: one centered on off road hardware, the other on materials and refinement. Scout has not confirmed either as a separate production trim in the supplied announcement.
Production preparations are progressing, however. Scout is completing its new facility in Blythewood, South Carolina, where the Traveler and Terra pickup are planned for assembly. Early prototype testing and validation is beginning, with customer deliveries expected in 2028.
