2026 RUF Automobile Rodeo

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Off‑road-ready performance: The 2026 RUF Rodeo pairs a 610 hp turbocharged flat-six with a six-speed manual and adjustable AWD developed in-house.

  • Purpose-built chassis: It uses a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque with a hidden steel roll cage, pushrod suspension, and 9.5 inches of ground clearance.

  • Distinctive design and limited info: Inspired by Western heritage, the Rodeo features off-road styling and a Ralph Lauren Ranch-themed interior. Pricing and production numbers are currently undisclosed.

The Rodeo Breaks New Ground for RUF

At Monterey Car Week’s Quail event, RUF rolled out the production-ready 2026 Rodeo, its foray into high-performance off-road sports cars. The model preserves the spirit of air-cooled 911s while delivering a distinct take on desert-capable speed. The Rodeo carries RUF into territory previously reserved for rally-inspired supercars.

Compact yet Capable Structure

Beneath its rugged exterior lies a carbon-fiber monocoque strengthened with integrated steel roll-cage architecture. The Rodeo maintains a lean curb weight of approximately 2,756 pounds despite its extensive mechanical kit. This chassis forms the backbone for serious off-pavement functionality.

Below the surface, it offers up to 9.5 inches of ground clearance, well ahead of traditional sports cars. The chassis features pushrod-actuated suspension, adjustable dampers, and all-terrain 235/55 Goodyear tires on 18-inch center-lock wheels.

Powertrain: Sportscar Soul Meets AWD Versatility

Powering the Rodeo is RUF’s own 3.6‑litre flat-six, turbocharged and producing 610 hp paired with 516 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to all four wheels via a traditional six‑speed manual gearbox, ensuring direct driver engagement. The AWD system, developed in-house, includes limited-slip differentials at both axles and allows driver-selected torque bias through a dash-mounted interface.

Structural integrity meets sportscar refinement in the engine’s placement behind the rear axle, preserving a compact silhouette that remains unmistakably Porsche-derived, yet reimagined.

Interior Laced with Western Flair

RUF has embraced a bold styling decision for the Rodeo’s cabin. Upholstery echoes a Ralph Lauren Ranch aesthetic—complete with Western-inspired leather seats and trim. The interior is both expressive and practical. A touchscreen on the center console offers real-time control over the AWD settings. This intersection of high-end culture and technical utility sets the Rodeo apart.

RUF has not yet disclosed pricing or production volumes, consistent with the brand’s low-volume, customer-centric approach. However, this vehicle clearly targets a niche group of performance-driven collectors seeking analog engagement and off-road capability beyond what Porsche or Lamborghini dual-purpose models offer.
