Some special editions celebrate a milestone. Others commemorate a place. The 2026 Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Noosa Collection Series does a little of both.
Created by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Brisbane, the bespoke sedan marked the brand's first appearance at the Noosa Concours d'Élégance, held along Hastings Street on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. More than just a display vehicle, it also becomes the opening chapter of an ongoing Noosa Collection, with another commission already scheduled to follow later this year.
Inspired By Queensland's Coastline
The project started with a simple idea: capture the atmosphere of Noosa in a motor car.
Handcrafted at Rolls-Royce's Goodwood facility in England, the Ghost Extended wears a two-tone finish combining Silver and Midnight Sapphire, separated by a Grace White coachline. According to Rolls-Royce, the colours reflect Noosa's ocean, sky and shoreline, giving the commission a direct connection to the coastal landscape that inspired it.
Rather than relying on dramatic visual changes, the commission focuses on subtle details that distinguish it from a standard Ghost Extended.
A Cabin Created For Long Journeys
The rear compartment became the centrepiece of the project.
Rolls-Royce configured the Ghost Extended with Serenity Seats, a rear theatre arrangement, massage seating and elegant picnic tables. The emphasis is on comfort and privacy, allowing passengers to move between city streets and coastal destinations without changing the character of the journey.
The choice of the Ghost Extended also carries historical significance. Rolls-Royce says it references the dependability of the original Silver Ghost, a model that helped establish the marque's reputation in Australia during the early years of motoring.
Continuing A Long Australian Story
Although the Noosa Collection Series is new, the relationship behind it stretches back much further.
Rolls-Royce traces its Australian history to 1906, when Archibald Black became the country's first customer. Early Silver Ghost models proved well suited to Australia's demanding conditions, even receiving market-specific modifications such as strengthened "colonial" springs and louvred bonnets to improve cooling.
That historical connection forms much of the thinking behind the Noosa Collection, which Rolls-Royce describes as a series of bespoke commissions inspired by Australia's landscapes and the lifestyles of individual owners.
More Than A One Off Commission
The 2026 Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Noosa Collection Series led the Noosa Concours procession before appearing at the Noosa Concours Long Lunch, where Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Brisbane presented the commission to invited guests. Encouraged by the response, the dealership has confirmed work on the second Noosa Collection commission will begin later this year.
Rather than introducing new technology or performance upgrades, this Ghost Extended demonstrates how Rolls-Royce continues to use its Bespoke programme to create vehicles shaped by local history, geography and individual client inspiration.
