New Design Language Defines the 2026 Roewe i6
The 2026 Roewe i6 arrives as a next generation compact sedan developed by SAIC Roewe, bringing a fresh visual direction to the brand’s mainstream lineup. Official images reveal a car that looks more confident and more technically styled than the outgoing model.
At the front, the sedan adopts Roewe’s latest family design language. The grille is noticeably larger and shaped around a vertical waterfall pattern, creating
a more upright and structured face. Above it sits a star ring style lighting signature that stretches across the front, visually widening the car and giving the fascia a more modern presence.
Lower down, an enlarged air intake reinforces the sense of width and adds a slightly sportier tone to what remains a practical family sedan.
It is not an overly complicated design. The surfaces are relatively clean, and the emphasis remains on proportion rather than decoration.
Sedan Proportions Emphasise Space and Stability
Viewed from the side, the 2026 Roewe i6 presents the proportions expected of a modern compact sedan. The car measures 4767 mm in length, 1828 mm in width, and 1498 mm in height, riding on a 2755 mm wheelbase.
Those numbers place it firmly within the upper end of the compact sedan class, where cabin space and rear passenger comfort often matter more than outright performance. A single character line runs cleanly from the headlamps to the rear lamps, giving the body a sense of length and visual continuity. Combined with the multi spoke wheel design, the profile looks tidy and balanced rather than overly aggressive.
At the rear, Roewe uses a continuous light bar design that connects the taillights across the trunk lid. Just above it sits a subtle ducktail style spoiler, a small but deliberate detail that adds a hint of sportiness without overwhelming the car’s restrained design.
1.5 Litre Engine Focuses on Efficiency
Under the bonnet, the 2026 Roewe i6 adopts a straightforward powertrain aimed at everyday efficiency. The sedan is powered by SAIC’s self developed 1.5 litre all aluminum engine, producing 95 kW of maximum power and 158 Nm of peak torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT), which is usually selected for smooth driving and fuel economy rather than outright performance, is used to deliver power.
The model's combined fuel usage of about 5.96 L per 100 km, according to recent data, confirms that it is a useful commuter vehicle. In this market, buyers' main priorities are often efficiency and refinement.
Large Infotainment Display and New Digital Hardware
Inside the cabin, Roewe focuses heavily on digital technology. While full interior images have not yet been released, the company confirms that the car will feature a 15.6 inch central infotainment display powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset. That hardware platform has become increasingly common in modern Chinese vehicles, allowing faster interface response and smoother integration of connected services.
The large screen is expected to serve as the central control hub for navigation, multimedia and vehicle settings. Additional interior details remain undisclosed at this stage.
