2026 Rimac Nevera R Founder’s Edition
By Lorenzo Bianchi December 22, 2025
Limited to ten cars, each configured directly with Mate Rimac and his design team.
2,107 hp quad-motor setup shifts the Nevera into a more focused hyper sportscar role.
Founder’s Edition ownership includes deep access to Rimac’s people, products, and R&D.
Design and Proportions of the Vehicle
The Nevera R Founder’s Edition is visually quieter than many limited hypercars, but that restraint is deliberate. Each of the ten cars starts from a shared baseline design built around a two-tone exterior split that runs cleanly along the body’s natural geometry. Rather than relying on graphic liveries, the color division follows the car’s surfaces, visually lowering the nose and giving the Nevera R a more forward-leaning stance.
A razor-thin stripe runs along the roof, narrowing to just two millimeters at its slimmest point. It carries subtle references to Rimac’s cravat motif and circuit-board graphics, details that are easy to miss at a glance but carefully considered. The result is a car that looks purposeful without shouting, its proportions doing the work rather than add-on styling elements.
Performance and Powertrain Overview
Underneath the bespoke finishes, the Nevera R remains one of the most extreme production cars ever built. Four electric motors deliver a combined 2,107 horsepower through Rimac’s advanced torque vectoring system. Performance figures are already part of the car’s reputation: 0–60 mph in 1.66 seconds and a verified top speed of 431.45 km/h, or 268.2 mph.
The Nevera R represents a shift in character from the original Nevera’s Hyper GT positioning toward something more focused and demanding. In 2025 alone, the model set 24 verified world performance records, underscoring that this is not a styling exercise but a technical one, sharpened rather than softened for its most committed clients.
Key Features and Interior Impression
Inside, no two Founder’s Edition cars are the same. Each owner begins with a private configuration session at the Rimac Campus in Zagreb, working directly with Mate Rimac, Design Director Frank Heyl, and the design team. Using advanced visualization software, materials and finishes are adjusted in real time, allowing for decisions that go far beyond a conventional options list.
Details are deeply personal. Door panels feature bespoke embroidery marking three milestones in Rimac’s history, while seat layouts can reference the personal preferences of Mate Rimac himself. Materials range from specially sourced leathers to hand-painted interior elements, each one tied to the owner’s story rather than a fixed specification.
Market Positioning and Segment Context
The Founder’s Edition is not positioned as a car in the traditional sense. All ten examples were privately allocated within a week of being offered, and ownership extends far beyond the vehicle itself. Founder’s Club members receive direct access to Bugatti Rimac headquarters, priority invitations to future product previews, involvement in performance events, and even opportunities to contribute feedback into future development programs.
Each owner also receives specialist driver training from Rimac’s professional testing team, followed by personal delivery from Mate Rimac himself. In a segment crowded with limited editions, the Nevera R Founder’s Edition stands apart by treating access and influence as the true luxury, with the car acting as both centerpiece and passport into Rimac’s inner circle.
