A Clearer Face for the Family MPV

Other small touches — roof rails, signature LED elements, and updated alloy wheel patterns — complete the visual shift. The Triber still sits comfortably in the sub-4m bracket, but looks more modern than before.

Step inside and the effort to modernize becomes clear. The dashboard has been completely re-cut, now finished in a dual-tone layout with a floating 8-inch touchscreen perched on top. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay continue to be standard on higher trims, and Renault has paid attention to materials, seat fabrics, and overall finish.

The updates don’t turn it into a premium cabin, but they lift the feel of everyday driving. Cooled storage compartments and smart cubbies remain part of the Triber’s character, reinforcing its practical leanings.

Safety Takes Priority

Where the facelift makes its strongest case is in safety. Renault has moved to six airbags as standard across the range. The Triber also introduces front parking sensors, a useful addition for tight city spaces. These updates align with Renault’s broader “Human First” program aimed at making advanced safety features part of even its most affordable vehicles.

Same Platform, Still Modular

The Triber continues to ride on the CMF-A+ platform, developed jointly by Renault and Nissan. Its standout quality remains the modular seven-seat arrangement. The seats can fold, slide, recline, or come out entirely, creating over 100 possible layouts.

With the right configuration, luggage capacity expands to 625 liters, while smaller trips can make use of 14.9 liters in glove boxes and another 7.5 liters in the center console. Rear passengers still benefit from 222 mm of knee room and 1,431 mm of elbow width, numbers that help keep it practical despite the car’s compact footprint.

Powertrain Carries Forward

There are no mechanical surprises. The Triber sticks with its 1.0-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine producing 72 PS (53 kW) and 96 Nm of torque. Transmission options remain a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.

A CNG version has been hinted at in reports but remains . For now, petrol is the only confirmed option.

The facelifted Triber goes on sale with prices starting at around ₹6.30 lakh ex-showroom for the base variant. The range tops out close to ₹9.40 lakh for fully equipped automatic dual-tone versions. That keeps the Triber firmly in the value-oriented MPV space, aimed at budget-conscious families who still want seven-seat flexibility.

This update also plays into Renault India’s broader strategy. The company has committed to four new products in the next two years, reinforcing the role of its Oragadam plant and signaling fresh investment in the Indian market.
