2026 Peugeot RCZ Vision Concept

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The 2026 Peugeot RCZ Vision Concept brings back the original RCZ coupe's double bubble roof and sculpted proportions, introducing Peugeot's Feline Future design language.

  • Its electric powertrain develops 500 hp, with a claimed range of up to 600 km and a 10 to 80 percent charging time of just 10 minutes.

  • The four seat interior features transparent Micro LED displays, Hypersquare steering, electronic braking controls and a next generation Peugeot i-Cockpit.

Peugeot RCZ Returns With a New Electric Identity

The 2026 Peugeot RCZ Vision Concept brings a familiar name back into Peugeot's design portfolio, more than a decade after the original coupe ended production in 2015. This time, the RCZ has returned as an electric grand tourer, developed to explore the French manufacturer's future styling and technology.

The concept revisits some recognizable features of the original 2009 RCZ, particularly its double bubble roof and distinctive cockpit arches.

There is a different approach underneath, however. The RCZ Vision uses an electric architecture based on Stellantis' STLA One platform, along with new electronic driving controls and solid state battery technology.

Double Bubble Roof and Sculpted Coupe Proportions

The RCZ Vision sits low, with broad shoulders, deeply shaped side panels and a narrow glass cabin that stretches toward the rear.

Its roof follows the double bubble treatment of the original RCZ, although the glazing now extends from the bonnet toward the back of the vehicle.

Slim, floating roof arches frame the glass structure, while the sculpted bodywork gives the coupe a wide stance.

At the front, Peugeot introduces a horizontal three claw lighting signature, positioned beneath compact Thin Lens LED headlights. The bumper incorporates large air intakes and small RCZ graphics within the grille openings.

The rear carries matching horizontal lighting and an active spoiler that remains concealed when the car is stationary.

Forged aluminium wheels measure 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear.

Four Seat Cabin With Transparent Micro LED Displays

Inside, the RCZ Vision introduces a new interpretation of Peugeot's i-Cockpit.

The Hypersquare steering control sits below a transparent Micro LED instrument display, while a separate vertical screen handles navigation and infotainment functions.

Unlike conventional displays, the central screen can disappear visually when switched off.

The cabin accommodates four occupants, with rear seats designed for two adults. Folding rear seatbacks provide additional luggage space.

Alcantara, recycled PELINOVA leather and machined aluminium feature throughout the interior. A floating centre console incorporates physical controls, while a dashboard clock developed with French watchmaker SERICA adds another detail.

500 HP Electric Powertrain and Solid State Battery

The RCZ Vision develops 500 hp from its electric powertrain, with Peugeot quoting a driving range of up to 600 km.

Its solid state battery, developed with Factorial Energy, measures just 110 mm thick and operates through a 1,000V electrical architecture.

Peugeot claims the battery can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 10 minutes.

The manufacturer also targets energy consumption of 11.5 kWh per 100 km, although this WLTP figure remains unconfirmed.

Electronic Driving Controls and Future Peugeot Models

The concept introduces steer by wire and brake by wire systems, replacing conventional mechanical and hydraulic connections with electronic controls.

Level 2++ assisted driving is also included, offering hands free operation in supported driving situations.

Peugeot has not announced production plans for the RCZ Vision. Instead, the concept previews technologies and design features intended for future models, including the next generation E-208.
