The new diesel produces 132 kW (180 hp) and 400 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It complies with Euro 6e standards and features updated direct injection and an optimized exhaust gas recirculation system. Opel states that fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions are reduced by up to 13 percent compared with previous diesel generations.
Performance figures are straightforward. The 2026 Opel Zafira accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 185 km/h. For a vehicle that can carry up to nine passengers, those numbers are notable.
Exterior Proportions and Practical Form
The Zafira’s shape remains purpose-driven. Two body lengths are offered: a medium wheelbase version measuring 4.98 metres and a long-wheelbase variant stretching to 5.33 metres.
The overall stance is upright and square-edged, designed to maximise interior volume rather than chase aerodynamic theatre.
At just over 1.90 metres in height, the Zafira retains the ability to enter most underground car parks, a practical detail that matters in urban environments.
Large sliding doors on both sides—available with electric, sensor-controlled operation—reinforce its shuttle-like functionality. The design is not about drama. It is about access, visibility and usable space.
