A machine defined by intent
The 2026 One One Lab Project Xeno is not presented as a road car, nor does it attempt to blur that line. From the outset, One One Lab describes it as a machine built for the circuit, shaped by a singular objective: driving purity. The documentation frames Xeno as an uncompromising two-seat track car, created for drivers who want a direct, mechanical relationship with the car beneath them.
There is no reference to homologation, driver assistance, or everyday usability. Project Xeno only exists in the context of driving that is inspired by motorsports.
Exposed structure and sculpted aerodynamics
In terms of appearance, Project Xeno has a broad, low stance with flowing surfaces that tightly encircle its mechanical core. Almost all of the body is made of carbon fiber, with exposed and painted portions to emphasize how functional it is. Inspired by single-seater race cars, side intakes channel airflow toward the rear by cutting deeply into the bodywork.
The car is visually anchored and its planted stance is reinforced by a full-width rear light bar that extends across the tail at the back. Instead of using add-on wings, the rear deck integrates air management into the body by rising sharply behind the cockpit. With no extra volume beyond what seems to be required for cooling, downforce, and structure, the proportions are small and functional.
A cockpit stripped to essentials
The interior follows the same philosophy. Project Xeno’s cabin is minimal by design, built from raw carbon fibre and aluminium surfaces. Alcantara trim is used selectively, primarily where the driver and passenger interact directly with the car. Dual racing seats are fitted with five-point harnesses, placing both occupants low and close to the centreline.
Notably, there are no screens. Instrumentation is deliberately absent in favour of a clean, distraction-free environment. One One Lab positions this as a conscious rejection of digital mediation, emphasising physical inputs and mechanical feedback instead.
Powertrain focused on mechanical engagement
At its core, Project Xeno offers a choice of two powerplants: either a naturally aspirated V8 or a turbocharged V6. One One Lab does not publish output figures, but the emphasis is placed on character rather than numbers. Both engine options are paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, described as intuitive, mechanical, and deliberately analogue.
This drivetrain choice reinforces the car’s identity. Every shift is presented as an act of connection, giving the driver firm control and accountability over automation or electronics.
