2026 Nissan Frontier RONIN Concept

The 2026 Nissan Frontier RONIN Concept features a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 using a custom rear-mounted R35 GT-R NISMO turbo system.
A modified Nissan TITAN suspension setup adds 12 inches of width, approximately four inches of lift and 14 inches of suspension travel.
Prototype 17-inch NISMO ASCEND beadlock wheels, 35-inch Yokohama tires, upgraded brakes and a customised interior complete the SEMA build.
Nissan Frontier RONIN Concept Brings Twin Turbo Power to SEMA
Nissan has introduced the 2026 Nissan Frontier RONIN Concept, a heavily modified pickup developed to demonstrate the performance potential of its midsize truck platform.
Presented at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, RONIN joins the Pathfinder XE-V6 and Armada Jungle Patrol concepts in Nissan's latest collection of off-road builds.
The name comes from the Japanese term for a masterless warrior. In mechanical terms, the concept takes the Frontier considerably beyond its standard configuration, particularly underneath the bodywork.
Baltic Teal Bodywork and NISMO Off Road Equipment
The RONIN wears a Baltic Teal finish with topographic-inspired bronze and black graphics.
Its redesigned front end incorporates a custom grille, high-clearance bumper and protective skid plate.
Prototype NISMO Off Road fender flares accommodate the widened suspension, while matching rock sliders protect the lower body.
Lighting receives considerable attention. Six-inch NISMO driving lamps are supplemented by four-inch units mounted beside the windscreen.
A roof rack and rear-mounted spare tire carrier complete the exterior modifications.
Wider Track and Long Travel Bilstein Suspension
RONIN uses modified Nissan TITAN suspension components and a rear axle conversion.
Custom CJD Racing hardware increases overall width by 12 inches and provides approximately four inches of lift, alongside 14 inches of suspension travel.
Bilstein Black Hawk suspension incorporates 70 mm four-way adjustable coilovers with internal hydraulic bump stops and independently adjustable damping.
The truck also receives fabricated control arms, racing spindles and extended axles.
Seventeen-inch prototype NISMO ASCEND beadlock wheels carry 35-inch Yokohama Geolandar X-AT tires.
A custom braking system includes six-piston front calipers and 335 mm two-piece slotted front rotors.
KINETIC Bucket Seats and Additional Engine Gauges
Inside, Nissan has installed custom KINETIC sport bucket seats and seat belts featuring topographic-inspired patterns.
A three-gauge dashboard pod displays boost pressure, oil pressure and exhaust temperature.
Prototype NISMO door protectors and all-weather floor mats provide additional cabin protection.
The changes prioritise mechanical monitoring and occupant support rather than introducing a substantially revised infotainment system.
Twin Turbo 3.8 Litre V6 With GT-R NISMO Hardware
The concept retains the Frontier's 3.8-litre V6 architecture but adds a custom twin-turbocharging system incorporating R35 GT-R NISMO components.
A front-mounted intercooler, dual off-road air intakes and ECUTEK engine management accompany the conversion.
The exhaust system incorporates NISMO Off Road hardware with three-inch cut-outs.
One Off SEMA Concept and Future Nissan Accessories
RONIN is a show vehicle rather than an announced production variant.
Nissan will display it at the Las Vegas Convention Center from November 3–6, 2026.
The manufacturer says ideas from its SEMA projects may influence future vehicles and accessory programmes.
The Frontier RONIN Concept itself is not available for purchase.
