The 2026 MINI Cooper S 5 door puts practicality around the familiar Cooper formula without moving too far away from its compact roots. MINI's latest press material shows the five door in Nanuq White, pairing its current exterior design with a 204 PS petrol engine and seating for five.
It is aimed at the fairly straightforward problem of needing more usable space without moving into a larger MINI. There are two extra doors, a five seat cabin and a luggage compartment designed to handle everyday use as well as weekend trips.
Nanuq White Highlights the Compact Shape
The new photography supplied by MINI puts the Cooper S 5 door on the road in Nanuq White. The image on page one shows the familiar round headlamps, compact nose and short front overhang, with the longer five door body visible behind them.
MINI describes the current design approach as reduced and modern. The extra doors inevitably stretch the visual mass compared with a three door Cooper, but the car still relies on short overhangs to maintain its compact stance.
Five Doors Add Everyday Flexibility
Practicality is the main reason this version exists. The Cooper S 5 door provides five seating positions and easier access to the rear through its additional doors. MINI also describes the luggage compartment as flexibly usable, positioning the car for commuting, leisure activities and short trips away.
