The CLA 250+ with EQ Technology starts at £45,615 in Sport Edition specification, rising to £51,770 for AMG Line Premium Edition.
An 85 kWh battery and 200 kW (272 hp) rear electric motor deliver up to 484 miles of WLTP range and 0–62 mph acceleration in 6.7 seconds.
Standard equipment includes a 14-inch touchscreen, illuminated grille with 142 LED stars, panoramic glass roof and a 101-litre front luggage compartment.
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA EQ C118 UK Version introduces the new electric CLA to British buyers, with three equipment grades and a starting price of £45,615. Mercedes-Benz opened UK orders for the CLA 250+ with EQ Technology in May 2025, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in the third quarter of that year. The electric saloon is the first model based on the Mercedes-Benz Modular Architecture, a platform developed to accommodate both battery-electric and hybrid powertrains.
Illuminated Grille With 142 LED Stars
The CLA's front end features an illuminated panel containing 142 individually animated chrome-effect LED stars. Lighting animations operate when approaching or leaving the vehicle, while LED High Performance headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist are standard on Sport Edition models.
The AMG Line Edition introduces revised exterior styling, flush-fitting door handles and illuminated Mercedes-Benz projections. AMG Line Premium Edition adds MULTIBEAM LED headlights, the Night Package and 19-inch alloy wheels.
Aerodynamic Bodywork And 18 Inch Wheels
Efficiency plays a substantial role in the CLA's exterior design. Mercedes-Benz quotes a drag coefficient of 0.21, although the figure varies with equipment and wheel configuration.
Sport Edition models receive 18-inch alloy wheels, dark-tinted glass and a panoramic glass roof. The roof uses infrared and low-emissivity coatings to reduce glare and heat transfer without requiring a conventional roller blind.
14 Inch MBUX Display And Panoramic Roof
Inside, the CLA introduces the fourth generation of Mercedes-Benz User Experience, powered by the new Mercedes-Benz Operating System. A 14-inch central touchscreen is standard, incorporating smartphone integration and a video camera.
An optional MBUX Superscreen, adding a second 14-inch passenger display, was scheduled for availability after the initial launch. Other features include heated front seats with four-way lumbar adjustment, automatic climate control and connected software updates.
Rear Electric Motor Produces 272 HP
The CLA 250+ uses a rear-mounted electric motor producing 200 kW, equivalent to 272 hp. A two-speed transmission manages power delivery, allowing the saloon to accelerate from 0–62 mph in 6.7 seconds and reach 130 mph.
The 85 kWh battery supports an 800-volt electrical architecture and DC charging at up to 320 kW. Under specified conditions, more than 200 miles of WLTP range can be recovered in ten minutes.
484 Mile Range And UK Equipment Grades
Sport Edition offers the highest quoted range, at up to 484 miles WLTP. Practical storage includes a 405-litre rear boot and a separate 101-litre compartment beneath the bonnet.
UK prices announced in the supplied release are £45,615 for Sport Edition, £49,375 for AMG Line Edition and £51,770 for AMG Line Premium Edition. These figures establish the CLA 250+ as the initial electric offering, with further battery and motor configurations planned.
