A bespoke debut on ice
The setting matters here. Maserati chose the frozen lake of St. Moritz for the public debut of the MCPURA Cielo Frozen Magma, placing its latest Fuoriserie creation against a backdrop of snow, ice, and winter light. The car is presented as a single, bespoke example rather than a limited series, conceived to reflect the tension between apparent opposites: cold and heat, restraint and energy.
That duality defines the Frozen Magma concept. Maserati describes the project as an encounter between a crystalline exterior and an incandescent core, an idea reinforced by both the car’s colour treatment and the conditions in which it was revealed.
Exterior defined by colour and contrast
Visually, the 2026 Maserati MCPURA Cielo Frozen Magma stands apart immediately. The body is finished in Ai Aqua Rainbow, an iridescent glossy paint that shifts tone under changing light, evoking the surface of a glacier. It is a colour designed to move rather than sit still, particularly effective across the MCPURA’s low, sculpted surfaces.
Against this cool base, Maserati applies a series of bespoke glossy orange accents. The dreamline livery, Trident on the tonneau cover, external badges, Maserati lettering, and Cielo badge all adopt the same vivid tone. Glossy black lower fascias ground the design, while 20-inch Cyclonic glossy black Fuoriserie wheels, orange brake calipers, and coordinated hub caps complete the exterior specification. The effect is deliberate and graphic, without resorting to additional aerodynamic embellishment.
Interior focused on technical intensity
Inside, the contrast continues but shifts in mood. The cabin is dominated by black Alcantara, which creates a technical, focused atmosphere as opposed to a decorative one. Laser-etched Chevron graphics, orange backing, and orange stitching run consistently through the interior, acting as a visual thread rather than isolated highlights.
The Trident appears embroidered on the headrests, while carbon fibre trim reinforces the MCPURA’s performance intent. A dedicated interior badge identifies the car as “Maserati Fuoriserie – THE I.C.E. "2026 – ONE OF ONE," officially designating its unique status. The cabin eschews excess in favor of high-quality materials and meticulous detailing.
Nettuno V6 anchors the experience
Mechanically, the Frozen Magma remains aligned with the standard MCPURA Cielo. Power comes from Maserati’s 630 hp Nettuno V6, featuring patented pre-chamber combustion technology derived from motorsport. The bespoke car is equipped with optional features including carboceramic brakes, a Suspension Lifter, and a comprehensive driver assistance package.
Maserati also specifies the Sonus Faber Premium audio system, underscoring that this one-off balances performance with a complete, immersive driving environment rather than pursuing minimalism.
