2026 Lynk Co 08 EM-P

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • Delivers up to 200 km WLTP EV range and over 1,000 km combined.

  • Powertrain peaks at 593 hp with multiple motor setups, 0–100 km/h in under 4.6 seconds.

  • Interior tech highlights include a 92-inch AR-HUD and 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound.

A Plug-In Hybrid with Real Reach

The 2026 Lynk & Co 08 EM-P is the brand’s most advanced SUV yet, and it comes on an updated CMA Evo platform—an evolution of Volvo’s CMA structure. Under the hood, a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder is paired with two or three electric motors, depending on trim. Output varies between 375 hp and 593 hp, with torque figures climbing as high as 900 Nm.

Numbers matter here. On electric power alone, the SUV can cover 200 km on the WLTP cycle, putting it ahead of most plug-in hybrids currently on the market. A 39.6 kWh battery underpins that range, and when both petrol and electric systems are working together, combined distance stretches out to nearly 1,400 km.

Exterior: Refined but Assertive

The design takes on a minimalist fastback look. The front end avoids the traditional grille-heavy approach, instead using slim lighting and smooth surfacing to manage airflow. The headlamps cut directly into the hood line, echoing Lynk & Co’s “Next Day” design language, while the rear is dominated by a continuous light bar. The SUV sits with proportions that feel balanced and contemporary without slipping into extravagance.

Inside: Screens, Sound, and Space

The 08 EM-P introduces some serious tech inside. At the center is Flyme Auto, a system that works with a 92-inch augmented reality head-up display—projecting navigation and alerts directly into the driver’s line of sight. It’s billed as the first production unit of its kind.

Beyond the tech showpiece, comfort takes priority. Both front and rear seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage. Audio is handled by a Harman Kardon setup with 23 speakers, giving the cabin the feel of a rolling concert hall. Rear passengers aren’t left behind either, with nearly a metre of legroom thanks to the SUV’s long 2,848 mm wheelbase.

Dimensions and Practical Details

Measured out, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P is 4,820 mm long, 1,915 mm wide, and 1,685 mm high. Those numbers plant it firmly in the mid-size SUV segment, giving it the stance to compete with European and Asian rivals in both footprint and cabin volume.

Acceleration is quick for a vehicle this size. Depending on configuration, the 08 EM-P can reach 100 km/h in under 4.6 seconds. It’s less about outright speed than it is about combining efficiency with performance, but the figures still put it in striking distance of premium German rivals.

In China, the 08 EM-P entered presales from around 218,000 yuan (USD 30,400). For Europe, prices will start at €52,995 for the Core trim, climbing toward €56,995 with additional packages. That puts it squarely in the premium crossover space, aimed at customers who want EV usability without giving up the flexibility of a hybrid system.
