A Sharper Design Direction

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is the latest effort by the brand to move past its compact roots and establish a firmer foothold in the premium space. Measuring just over 4.8 meters long, it presents itself as a cleanly sculpted fastback sedan, with proportions that lean more toward coupe than conventional four-door.

Up front, the familiar split-light setup remains, with slim LED running strips set high and the main lamps tucked into the bumper. At the rear, a continuous LED bar and a subtle ducktail lend it presence without overstatement. Buyers opting for the larger 19- or 20-inch alloys get a design that’s bolder, more aerodynamic, and in keeping with its positioning above the smaller 06 EM-P.

Hybrid Power with Real-World Range

Power comes from the company’s EM-P plug-in hybrid system, which combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with dual electric motors. Together they deliver around 280 kW, or 375 horsepower, which puts the car into brisk territory for a mid-size sedan.

Where it aims to stand out is in efficiency. The battery alone is good for more than 120 km of CLTC-rated driving, meaning many daily commutes can be covered without firing up the petrol engine at all. For longer trips, the hybrid setup extends the total range beyond 1,200 km. Fast charging is supported too, topping the battery from 30 to 80 percent in under half an hour.

Suspension tuning leans on adaptability. Drive modes let owners toggle between comfort, sport, and full-electric settings, while adaptive damping helps the 07 EM-P adjust to varied conditions.

Cabin and Technology

Step inside and the approach is clear: clean lines, large displays, and tech front and center. A pair of 15.4-inch screens dominate the dashboard, with a 12.3-inch digital cluster behind the wheel. In higher trims, passengers also get their own screen integration, underscoring the car’s tech-first pitch.

Connectivity comes backed by 5G, OTA updates, and a built-in AI assistant. Audio quality is handled by a Harman system with up to 23 speakers, while ambient lighting and multi-zone climate broaden the comfort side of the equation.

The fastback profile doesn’t compromise space much either. A wheelbase of roughly 2,840 mm ensures ample rear legroom, and the layout allows for a practical cargo area compared with more traditional sedan designs.

Safety and Assistance Features

Lynk & Co hasn’t cut corners on driver assistance. Standard kit includes adaptive cruise, lane-keeping, blind-spot alerts, and emergency braking. Buyers of higher trims can expect more, such as Level 2+ hands-on assistance for highway driving and automated lane changes. Parking is made easier with a surround-view camera system and automated guidance.

With the 07 EM-P, Lynk & Co is aiming directly at the heart of the mid-size hybrid sedan segment in China. It’s pitched above the 06 EM-P crossover and complements the 08 SUV, broadening the brand’s electrified reach.

Rivals are tough and numerous — the BYD Han DM-i, NIO ET5, and long-established offerings from Toyota and Honda all sit in the crosshairs. Pricing is expected to start in the CNY 180,000–220,000 range, with fully loaded versions pushing toward 250,000. That positions it to tempt buyers who want a premium-feel hybrid without stepping into the luxury-brand price bracket.
