The 2026 Lynk Co 03 Plus TCR is not a styling exercise or a homologation tease. It is a fully fledged race car, developed and built independently by Lynk & Co with competition as its sole purpose. Official images released ahead of its launch show a machine engineered for circuit use, aimed at existing track sprint series while also targeting endurance racing categories.
Visually, the transformation from road car to race car is immediate. The stance is lower and wider, with the body pulled tightly around the mechanicals. Large air intakes dominate the front bumper, feeding cooling air where it is needed most. Additional vents cut into the bonnet help manage under-bonnet temperatures during sustained high-load running. Nothing appears decorative. Every opening, edge, and surface reads as functional.
Focus on Lightweight Aerodynamics and Chassis
Lightweight racing wheels and noticeably larger brake discs are used along the flanks of the Lynk Co 03 Plus TCR, an upgrade that is essential for frequent severe braking.
Side skirts have been reshaped with aerodynamic elements designed to manage airflow along the car’s lower edges, improving stability at speed.
A big fixed rear wing dominates the silhouette while a lightweight bumper at the back minimizes mass. Its size and placement highlight the car's racing objective, creating downforce rather than striking images. Confirmed Turbocharged Motor
The Lynk Co 03 Plus TCR is powered by a well-known but potent source. The 2.0-liter turbocharged engine of the previous Lynk Co 03 Plus TCR Cyan edition can generate up to 350 horsepower (257 kW) and 450 Nm of torque. This power level is well within competitive TCR norms because it prioritizes lifespan and drivability over headline figures.
Although the drivetrain details beyond output figures have not been revealed, it is clear that reliability across sprint races and longer endurance events is the main focus.
The previous Cyan variant’s pricing is listed at 420,300 yuan, providing context for the level of engineering and positioning within customer racing programmes.
Positioning in the Global TCR Landscape
The Lynk Co 03 Plus TCR enters a crowded but well-established global touring car arena. This new version indicates sustained dedication rather than experimentation, as Lynk & Co. already has racing experience from previous TCR endeavors.
