2026 Luxeed V9

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • The Luxeed V9 uses a high-end, technologically advanced strategy to target the RMB 500,000 MPV market.

  • The combined CLTC range of Huawei's Snow Owl range extender exceeds 1,250 kilometers.

  • Second-row comfort, assisted entry, and an advanced HarmonyOS cockpit are the main interior features.

A Large MPV With Clear Market Ambitions

The 2026 Luxeed V9 has surfaced through a new set of official images, offering a clearer look at a vehicle positioned to challenge established players in China’s upper-mainstream MPV space. Scheduled for launch in the spring, the V9 is framed as a model intended to “reshape” expectations in the roughly RMB 500,000 segment. Its proportions, feature set, and technology choices point to a deliberate move upmarket rather than a conventional people mover.

Exterior Design Focused on Presence and Detail

Visually, the Luxeed V9 retains the brand’s established design language while scaling it to MPV proportions. With a length of 5,359 mm and a wheelbase of 3,250 mm, the body is broad and long. A premium intent is reinforced by the extensive use of chrome detailing, especially around the back and along important body lines. The rear has a star-diamond-style taillight signature that highlights width, and multi-spoke wheels add even more visual weight.

A dynamic welcome light carpet and a new generation of DLP projection headlights are located up front. This system places visual theater alongside everyday functionality by enabling personalized lighting messages when approaching or entering the vehicle.

Cabin Layout Built Around Passenger Ease

Interior imagery highlights an MPV designed with second-row occupants firmly in mind. The rear doors open wide, and the B- and C-pillars integrate upper and lower armrests to assist entry for children and elderly passengers. Second-row seats feature large leg rests, and disc-like components beneath the cushions confirm the presence of 180-degree rotating seats, a feature aimed at flexibility rather than fixed seating hierarchy.

Additional comfort and ambience features include a welcome light carpet, an in-car oxygen bar, and a cabin environment structured around long-distance travel rather than short urban hops. The V9 is also stated to offer a class-leading number of airbags, reinforcing a safety-focused positioning alongside its luxury cues.

Powertrain and Driving Technology

The Luxeed V9 is equipped with Huawei’s Snow Owl intelligent range extender system. This setup combines an electric drivetrain with a 1.5-litre turbocharged range-extender engine supplied by Chery Automobile. The engine produces a maximum output of 115 kW and functions primarily to recharge the battery rather than drive the wheels directly.

Under the CLTC test cycle, the combined driving range is stated to exceed 1,250 km, positioning the V9 as a long-distance solution for buyers hesitant to rely solely on battery charging infrastructure. The vehicle will also be fitted with Huawei’s next-generation intelligent driving assistance hardware, though specific capability levels have not been detailed.

Positioning in a Crowded Segment

With its size, extended range, and emphasis on digital systems such as the latest HarmonyOS cockpit, the Luxeed V9 is positioned as a technology-first MPV rather than a traditional chauffeur vehicle. Its debut comes at a time when the MPV market is increasingly defined by software, assisted driving, and second-row comfort, placing the V9 squarely into a competitive and fast-evolving space.
