The Livis sits above the standard L9 as a design- and technology-focused expression rather than a clean-sheet redesign. Li Auto has also confirmed that the next-generation L9 will follow in the second quarter, placing the Livis as a transitional flagship that previews where the brand is headed.
In market terms, the L9 Livis continues to target buyers cross-shopping premium Chinese large SUVs positioned against models from Aito, Hongqi, and high-spec extended-range rivals, where interior comfort and software capability carry as much weight as performance figures.
Exterior Design and Proportion Changes
At first glance, the L9 Livis remains instantly recognizable. The silhouette, surface language, and lighting signature are carried over, reinforcing continuity rather than reinvention. The defining change is the introduction of a two-tone exterior finish, a first for the L9, paired with an integrated gold trim strip running along the shoulder line.
