The 2026 Lepas L6 EV pairs a 65kWh LFP battery with a 160kW (217PS) motor for up to 279 miles of WLTP range and 120kW DC charging.
Two trims, Essence and Elevate, are offered, with Elevate adding heated/ventilated front seats, SONY audio and Advanced Parking Assist.

Lepas has put full UK pricing detail on hold for now, but the brand has released the complete specification for the 2026 Lepas L6 EV, its first fully electric SUV and the second model to land in Britain after the L8 PHEV. The announcement, made in London on 27 August, fleshes out a car that's been positioned as an everyday urban SUV rather than a flagship statement.
Exterior design observations
The L6 EV carries Lepas's "Leopard Aesthetics" design language, a phrase the brand uses to describe a shape it says draws on the movement and posture of the animal that gives the marque part of its name. In practice that means slim "Hunting Eye" LED headlights, a wide-body stance and LED rear lighting that wraps around the tailgate. Six exterior colours are offered — Lucid White comes at no extra cost, while Phantom Grey, Cosmic Black, Quicksilver, Solar Orange and Supernova Purple each add £500.
Proportions and stance
At 4,570mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,676mm tall, the L6 EV sits squarely in C-segment SUV territory — compact enough for city driving but with a 2,700mm wheelbase that leaves plenty of room between the axles. Ground clearance is listed at 159mm. Both trims get 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels as standard, along with power-folding, heated door mirrors with puddle lights.
Interior space and technology
Inside, Lepas has built the L6 EV around a flat rear floor, a benefit of the underpinning LEX Platform that frees up legroom for rear passengers. A wraparound dashboard is dominated by a 13.2-inch waterfall-style touchscreen and paired with an 8.88-inch digital driver display, both run on a Qualcomm 8155 chip. A voice assistant called "Hello LEPAS" handles cabin controls, and both trims get 50W wireless phone charging with active cooling. Boot space is rated at 410 litres, rising to 1,334 litres with the rear seats down, plus 99 litres of underfloor storage. Elevate trim upgrades the cabin further with full leather-effect upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a power tailgate, ambient lighting and an air purification system; Essence sticks with fabric seats and manual adjustment.
Powertrain and performance details
Both trims share the same mechanical layout: a 65kWh lithium iron phosphate battery feeding a front-mounted motor rated at 160kW (217PS) and 275Nm of torque. Lepas quotes 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds, a 111mph top speed and a WLTP range of 279 miles. DC charging tops out at 120kW, enough for a 30-80 per cent top-up in roughly 22 minutes. The car uses Bosch's IBP 2.0 brake system, which Lepas says improves pedal feel and energy recovery while cutting down on the pitching sensation some EVs exhibit under braking. Lepas's European chassis engineers also had a hand in tuning the car for local roads, following the same process used on the L8.
Practical usability features
A 3.3kW vehicle-to-load function lets owners run external equipment off the car's battery, which could suit anything from a campsite to a job site. Both trims come with dual-zone climate control, rear air vents, a heated steering wheel, heated windscreen and 40/60 split-folding rear seats, plus keyless entry. Safety equipment includes 22 driver assistance functions — covering autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring among others — along with a 540-degree camera system on both trims. Elevate adds Advanced Parking Assist and Remote Parking Assist.
Market positioning
Lepas is a Chery-owned brand new to the UK, and the L6 EV's dimensions and pricing structure suggest it's aimed at mainstream electric C-SUVs rather than premium rivals, though the release does not name specific competitors [Inference]. Order books open in early Q4 2026, and the L6 EV is covered by a 7-year/100,000-mile vehicle warranty and an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty, with OTA and FOTA update capability included.
