The 2026 Leapmotor A05s will be the first compact model in the A-series and is rumored to come with lidar-assisted driving functions including city NAP, highway navigation, and memory parking.
A redesigned interior introduces a floating touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, and additional storage features.

2026 Leapmotor A05s Interior Takes Shape
The 2026 Leapmotor A05s has appeared in official interior images ahead of its market launch, offering a clearer look at the company's newest compact electric model. As the first small car in Leapmotor's A series, the A05s introduces a fresh cabin design while also preparing to bring lidar-supported driver assistance to a more affordable segment. According to the released information, the vehicle is expected to support city NAP, highway navigation, and memory parking.
Although much of the attention falls on the technology, the overall presentation suggests Leapmotor is also placing greater emphasis on everyday usability.
Familiar Exterior With New Details
From the outside, the A05s follows the company's current design language rather than introducing a completely different look. The front features a closed grille, a common trait among modern electric vehicles, while the slim headlamps help give the nose a distinctive appearance.
Raised character lines across the hood add a little extra definition without making the design appear overly aggressive. Viewed from the side, semi concealed door handles contribute to a cleaner profile, while two tone five spoke alloy wheels complement the contrasting roof treatment. Around the back, the smiling taillight design carries over from the larger A10, creating a family resemblance across the lineup.
Cabin Prioritizes Simplicity And Practicality
The biggest changes are found inside. Leapmotor has redesigned the dashboard around a cleaner layout with a two spoke multifunction steering wheel, a floating central touchscreen, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Storage has also received attention. Wireless smartphone charging sits ahead of vertically stacked cup holders, helping keep the center console uncluttered while improving day to day convenience. Ambient lighting, a rear center armrest, and embroidered logos on both front and rear headrests add small touches that distinguish the cabin without becoming overly decorative.
Electric Power And Driver Assistance
The A05s will be offered with two electric powertrain options. Buyers can choose between a 70 kW or a 90 kW motor, paired with either a 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh battery pack. Depending on the configuration, the official driving range reaches 405 km or 510 km.

Positioned As An Accessible Smart EV
Measuring 4,200 mm in length with a 2,605 mm wheelbase, the A05s fits neatly into the compact electric hatchback segment. Rather than chasing outright performance, Leapmotor appears to be focusing on technology, practicality, and efficient packaging.
