2026 Land Rover Range Rover SV Ultra

By Lorenzo Bianchi

  • First-ever electrostatic speaker system integrated into seats and cabin.

  • New Titan Silver paint with aluminium flake finish.

  • P615 V8 powertrain continues with focus on refinement.

Liquid metal finish and restrained detailing

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover SV Ultra doesn’t shout about its changes. It doesn’t need to.

Visually, the design stays close to the familiar Range Rover silhouette. Clean surfaces, upright proportions, and minimal ornamentation still define the shape. The differences sit in the finish.

A new Titan Silver paint option stands out immediately. It uses fine aluminium flakes within the pigment, giving the body a reflective quality that shifts under light. It’s not a flat silver. More like a polished surface with depth to it.

Subtle accents follow. Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome details run across the grille and side graphics, while 23-inch wheels carry matching inserts. The effect is cohesive rather than dramatic.

Familiar proportions with a composed stance

The Range Rover SV Ultra maintains the same underlying proportions as the standard Range Rover.

That means a long wheelbase, near-vertical stance, and a strong visual balance between front and rear. It still sits tall, but not exaggerated.

What changes is the presence. The finish and detailing give it a more polished look, though the basic stance remains composed and predictable. There’s no attempt to make it sportier. It stays aligned with its role as a flagship luxury SUV.

Interior shifts toward material detail and texture

Inside, the changes are more noticeable.

The cabin introduces a new duo-tone theme combining Orchid White and Cinder Grey. Instead of traditional leather, it uses Ultrafabrics material, which allows for more intricate surface treatments. Seats feature a laser-crafted mosaic pattern that carries across the upper sections and backrests.

There’s also a new rattan palm veneer. It runs across the dashboard and extends into the rear, including the deployable table and cooler compartment. The finish is open-pore, with a lighter tone that lifts the overall cabin feel.

Small details continue the theme. Ceramic finishes, colour-matched speaker grilles, and soft textile elements like the Kvadrat cushion add to the overall impression. It feels carefully assembled rather than over-styled.

V8 powertrain continues without major change

Underneath, the setup remains familiar.

The SV Ultra uses the P615 V8 powertrain. Output figures aren’t detailed further here [Unverified], but the focus appears to remain on smooth delivery rather than outright performance gains.

There’s no indication of a major mechanical shift. Instead, refinement and consistency take priority, aligning with the vehicle’s positioning.

Audio system becomes the defining feature

The biggest shift comes in how the cabin behaves.

The SV Ultra introduces an electrostatic sound system, something not previously used in a production vehicle. Thin-film speakers are integrated into headrests, seatbacks, and other areas, delivering sound directly around each occupant.

It works alongside the Body and Soul Seat system and a haptic floor setup. Together, they create a layered experience where sound isn’t just heard but also felt through vibrations in the seat and floor.

There are also wellness modes tied to this system. These adjust how the vibrations and audio behave, aiming to influence relaxation or focus during a drive. It’s a different approach to in-car audio, leaning toward sensory experience rather than just output quality.

Positioned as the most advanced Range Rover yet

The 2026 Range Rover SV Ultra sits at the very top of the lineup.

Pricing starts from $472,400, placing it firmly in the upper tier of the luxury SUV segment. It doesn’t attempt to compete on performance alone. Instead, it leans into comfort, materials, and technology.

The focus is clear. This is less about changing what a Range Rover is, and more about refining it further.
